Celine Celine Le 16 Side-to-Side too trendy?

I went in for the red flair bag but got influenced by my sister and my husband and got this last weekend. I quite liked how the silk skinny card with bow looks on it too so I got that as well. I hope I won’t regret it because it’s a very trendy bag. What is everyone thinking about this elongated bag trend?

Advice/Opinion/Question Anyone here familiar with Tissa Fontaneda bags? Curious about the leather texture

Hi all,

I recently came across Tissa Fontaneda and got really curious about their signature bubble leather texture. I love the way it looks in photos, but I’d be really interested to hear from anyone who has handled one in person or owned one.

How does the leather actually feel?
Is it soft and pillowy, or more delicate than it looks?
Does the bubble texture feel as luxurious in real life as it appears in photos?

Would really appreciate any first hand impressions. Thanks!

Discussion What do you check first before buying a pre-owned luxury bag?

I’m trying to make a sensible checklist before seriously considering any pre-owned luxury bag. Authentication matters, but I’m also unsure how much weight to give the seller’s history, condition photos, repairs, odor, hardware wear, and the return policy. I don’t want to focus so much on getting a good deal that I miss a problem that’s expensive or impossible to fix. For people who buy secondhand, what are the first few things you verify, and what would make you walk away immediately?

Dior This is my First Dior bag. I’m debating between these two Mini Lady Diors: the tricolor pink-and-yellow version in lambskin and the cherry red patent calfskin. Help!!

Advice/Opinion/Question Ferragamo- hug xs in zebra pony or a classic looking studio soft bag medium?

Thumbnail

I’ve been eyeing an xs hug for a little while know because I love how classy they look. So imagine my thrill when the store I stopped into in Vegas had it in the zebra pony hair.

However, before I checked out I came across the new soft studio in a medium size and wonder if that’s more practical?

They’re both so different, I don’t know what to do. The hug xs can also be worn crossbody and the soft studio comes with a shoulder strap. The xs hug is about 22cm long, where the studio is closer to 30cm long. What to pick?!

I have been browsing 4ever but can’t find the perspective fit.

Like I need a function like this(ugly ass SHEIN bag) in a beautiful package.

Fully fitting the clothes for 4-5 days. Plus comp etc.
Like a freaking camping backpack in a business suit.

Any tips for me?

I am selling a silver Tiffany & Co. Tote Bag that originally retailed for $1300!!! One handle is worn and cracking in three places, but it is repairable. Otherwise the bag is in incredible condition! It is being sold as is. The starting bid is $600 or the buy now price is $950. If you have any questions, please message me on EBay as I will be more likely to see it there. Go to the link to see all photos including the partly worn handle.

Advice/Opinion/Question I’m eyeing a secondhand LV Neverfull in either DE or DA. Is it worth it or should I look at some other brand/style?

I’ve been eyeing a neverfull in damier azure or damier ebene, but want to know all my options for large tote bags. I don’t want it super heavy but will double as a diaper bag. Needs to be a durable beater and I want to def buy secondhand. Any other recommendations I should look at that are better in your opinion?

Advice/Opinion/Question Cettire Horror Story

Thumbnail

I ordered The Attico’s La Passeggiata bag from CETTIRE as a present for myself and GOT SENT A COUNTERFEIT ITEM.

I received the bag late this afternoon and immediately knew something was off. I took an entire video of myself unboxing the bag at home as proof in case anything sketchy happened, and to show that I did not damage anything myself. As soon as I opened the box, I noticed that the leather on one side of the bag strap had been scraped off.

I was so pissed off at this point that I went directly to the store about an hour before closing to compare the bag I received with the bag they had in-store.

The sales associate told me that the bag I received appeared to be counterfeit, so I took pictures comparing the two bags side-by-side and noticed the following differences. :(

A. The stitching was off. There were multiple random, unusually long stitches throughout the bag.

B. The tags were made from a different paper material. The CETTIRE bag also had additional information printed on the tag that the authentic bag did not have.

C. There was a tiny hole on the lower side flap of the bag, along with uneven stitching. The stitching was not straight, was not equal in length compared to the other side, and was not centered properly.

D. The straps were noticeably different in both touch and feel. The strap on the CETTIRE bag did not hold its structure at all and flopped toward the ground, while the authentic bag’s strap was much more structured. The seams along the straps also did not feel firm or properly sealed like the authentic one.

E. The zippers felt different. The zipper on the authentic bag was much smoother, while the CETTIRE bag’s zipper felt noticeably rougher when opening and closing.

F. The sealed edges around the strap supports were uneven and incomplete. Several areas were not fully sealed, unlike the authentic bag I compared it with in-store.

It’s especially frustrating that the taxes apparently won’t be refunded. For my bag, that is around €95 that I may not get back.

I already submitted a return, and after reading through Reddit and other posts online, I’m honestly not expecting much from CETTIRE’s customer service.

I do have one additional question for anyone who has returned something to CETTIRE before: if they issue the refund but refuse to refund the taxes, should I file a dispute with my bank for the remaining amount? Or is there someone else I should contact first?
Please help :(

Update: u/Astandarta has been victim-blaming and protecting Cettire, then proceeded to block me.

Advice/Opinion/Question Is this bag suitable for men?

Hey everyone! I could really use some help choosing between two bags. I’m a 20-year-old guy looking to buy my first luxury bag. I found a red Louis Vuitton Brea from 2013 and a Prada Leather Bag. I absolutely love the red one, but I’m a little worried it might look weird or out of place on a guy, or that people might judge me for carrying it. Which one would you pick?

P.S. I already wear a few elegant Dolce & Gabbana and Dior blazers from the women’s section, and honestly, people have told me they suit me really well. Almost my entire wardrobe is made up of black, grey, and white pieces.

Dior book tote question

this one here ^

i don't see an option on the website to customize with a name anymore...is it not available now?

also,, is it possible to have a name that's up to 7 letters with the small tote? i dont know who to ask, and i dont have the money to buy it *now* so i didn't want to bother some sales associate or something.

Advice/Opinion/Question Thoughts on the medium Dior Promenade Shopping Bag?

Thumbnail

I am on the hunt for a bag that can replace my trusted Le Pliage for when I need a tote but want a more elevated look.

If anyone has any experience with Dior Cannage Calfskin, would you mind sharing how well it held up with daily use? I’m concerned about things like scratches, corner wear, sagging, etc.

I’m also interested in opinions regarding this bag as a work tote/mom bag. Perhaps there are some considerations I am missing?

Things I noticed that might impact it’s durability:

• Cotton/linen inner lining - will be more difficult to keep clean than a leather lined bag.
• Handles are on the slimmer end. Not sure if carrying a laptop long term could cause them to overstretch from the weight?
• No feet - will need to be mindful when placing it down.

It seems relatively new so I understand reviews might be limited. However, I would appreciate any thoughts (positive or not!) anyone can share on this one!

Advice/Opinion/Question Shopping preloved in NYC, reviews in FASHIONPHILE?

I will be in NYC this week and would love to pick up something preloved. I am only going to be around time square and really can’t go too far due to mobility/timing/other commitments, but the FASHIONPHILE flagship is right near the ferry terminal, so I thought to pop in

Waste of my time? Any better stores in the area to recommend? Thanks ā˜ŗļø

Louis Vuitton Always regret selling my 2009 PA 😭

Post image

ISO PA 🄹 I desperately want another. Always regret selling mine but was going through tough times. It was such a versatile bag. Perfect size. Mine was brand new too. Discontinued style. I just can’t justify that price of such a small bag. I love they added a little zipper pocket. I don’t even want that chain which prob adds at least a few hundred on that price 😐 I hate chained bags personally. They just get scratched & clink & clank.

Sigh…just reminiscing & daydreaming šŸ˜‚

Givenchy Givenchy Pandora preloved bag at 42k, is it a good deal?

Post image

Found this online and the quality of the goatskin looks okay to me (only scratches on the hardware), plus, it's from a popular reseller in Manila with celebrity consigners. Can't really find any local alternatives and I don't wanna risk buying overseas or at carousell/marketplace. It's going to be my first preloved bag so I'm not an expert with the bag's current value.

PS: Currency is PHP, so around USD690. Sorry for making everyone confused!

Louis Vuitton Visiting Brooklyn. Where can I buy designer gifts?

Coming to NYC for a whole week and the main thing my mom has been yearning for is a Louis Vuitton purse. Not trying to spend a whole lot, maybe shop places that have it slightly used. What would be my best options in the Brooklyn area?
