There’s a patriot front large sticker in front of Osaka on Wards rd.
Anybody want to scrape it off of cover it before i get to it tomorrow evening?

Their culture is a cancer and it's spreading all over Lynchburg and the surrounding area.
In 6 months a former VP at LU managed to poison a healthy work culture, and replace it with bullying, authoritarian bullshit, and fear.
Without exception, these people are trash and destroy everything they touch.

Hey! Are there any older undergrad students at University of Lynchburg (25+)? I’m a 27 year old transfer student (woman) who doesn’t live on campus and it’s hard to find friends my age. I’m not from Lynchburg, but I have lived here for a bit now but have mainly stayed to myself and haven’t been able to make friends. It hasn’t really been much of an issue but now being on this journey, attending university has been a bit lonely and depressing so far.

So apparently and importantly allegedly, liberty was and is operating on some Irish catholic nun shit. They have a maturity home on the campus for pregnant girls to go live at in shame so the "sinless" baby can be born and then adopted out. Its called "The Liberty Godparent Home" and of course the babies are adopted out at high prices to affluent Christian families by "Godparent Home's adoption agency", the home itself all started by jerry falwell as some bid to aid in overturning roe v. wade..now how true this is Im not sure hence the post and labeling it as just gossip but I'd love to hear if anyone else has some info on how true this all is. I personally never overlook an opportunity to avoid and bash the place.

The Christian charitable organization said that it allowed a sick employee named in a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to miss dozens of days of work and that the employee resigned voluntarily.

That storm that rolled through a couple weeks ago did a number on my internet where I live (the Gish flats) and it’s never gotten back to pre storm speeds or reliability. Our property manager said our service is through VA Skywire but since it’s a part of our utilities I have no way to call about what’s going on. Anyone else downtown having any problems?

130 or so events this week in Lynchburg (Sep 2-8), and the long weekend carries most of it. First Friday fills downtown on Friday evening with four gallery openings, a cyanotype open house at Vector Space and a free outdoor benefit concert at the University of Lynchburg. Saturday is the fullest day: a free festival at Poplar Forest, Wolfbane's 20th-season gala, CRABSMACK at the Academy and an all-white R&B night at the Warehouse Theatre, plus the Labor Day wine and music festival out in Amherst. Monday thins out because the library and city offices close for the holiday, though the splash fountains and sprayground get their last day of the season. Celtic Thunder closes the week at the Academy on Tuesday.

A family member will be road testing soon. I do not see what is involved on the road portion in the DMV handbook. I may just be missing it. Is parallel parking still part of it? Anything we should know? Thanks

Hello, I'm a transplant starting an AAS in IT. How is the job market for IT professionals around here? Who are the major employers? Is there anyone who's known for a good internship program?
Sorry if the question is impossibly vague.

Im desperately craving a Seafood Boil. I know red lobster has one and I've tried it. It is okay. Not enough flavor or seafood imo but this was a year ago so they might have tweaked it.
I really want one that has sauces like Crab Du Jour had where I can get it with a flavorful spicy sauce but I dont think one exists here. Usually they come with old bay and a butter sauce on it or on the side for dipping, which I might have to settle for if it comes down to it.
Im also not opposed to making one at home but I can never get the sauce right. Its doesnt taste quite like I want it too. If anyone has any tips or recipes for a sauce, please let me know!
Anyways, anyone know of any places that can make them like that? If not whats your favorite place to get a boil at?

I keep seeing Wind Vineyards at Smith Mountain Lake getting a lot of (well-deserved) negative reviews on Facebook. Apparently they're blocking anyone who leaves a bad review...
Now the owner of the business is begging/bribing people with a free ticket to an event for a five star review on Google... this is illegal right??
Edit to add: I'm on the chamber of commerce for the area and want to make sure before I report it.

Hi there I am looking into beekeeping and I was wondering if there was anyone here local in Lynchburg that already has a couple beehives set up and would let me be their shadow and see how the process is and get a Hands-On approach to beekeeping? Okay thank you so much!

I am interested in having a church service or Bible study meeting on Friday evenings around 6PM. Does anyone know of anything like that in the area? Wednesday is okay but I feel like Friday would be better.

Hello all,
Recently moved here from out of state and wondering if any spots downtown or anywhere else in the city stream NHL games during the season. I’m assuming Buffalo Wild Wings?
Thanks all!

Title says it all. Wondering what the style of dress typically is at this restaurant. Also if anyone has any dining experiences they want to share.

In about 2-3 weeks, my husband will need to hire a younger worker to tamper some potholes in our driveway. He will be doing the fill and all that. Just need help with the hard manual labor of the job. Anyone interested?
You can pass by and speak to my husband regarding the amount of work and discuss pay. Will be cash and will be worth your time. I just dont know how laborious the job is to say how many hundred the job will be.
Pls reply here or send me a msg. We live in the fort hill area

Hello everyone. I am born and raised in Lynchburg Va and about three months ago I finished my first nonfiction manuscript. I have done a lot of research on my own looking for a literary agent around the area and many of the websites are not up to date nor have a working phone number. I'm not feeling discouraged, which is why I am asking for help here. Would anybody know of a literary agent or agency around the area of Lynchburg and VA? Any information would be greatly appreciated as I am taking my first steps.

Does anyone here work for cenvar in sales? Is it worth going into? I’ve heard great things but it all seems odd, solar has never been liked by the general public in my experience.

What women's clothing boutiques and thrift stores do you recommend? Will be in town for a day and would like to shop some local places.
