opened as in physically? Or woke from sleep? Or turned on with the touchID key? You get to this screen if you long press the touchID while booting the Mac. Maybe the key is stuck. Has there been liquid nearby?

yes, i opened physically. I remember, it got a little wet from drizzle before like months ago.

do a hard shutdown to turn it off. Then see if it boots back to this, or the normal login screen.

Try Restarting it.

If it comes back to this screen:

MacOS is corrupted in some form and you have to Reinstall, which would lose all data on the device.

If it goes back to the normal login screen:

MacOS is fine, you just entered the Recovery menu by accident

Try use DiskUtility first aid to try fix disk corruption. If First Aid cannot repair format the drive and reinstall the system. ; l

You physically opened your mac like opening the case for cleaning and stuff? Or it just appeared when you booted up your mac?

Any progress? If not, are you able to go to the Apple Store or have a authorized technician look at it in person?

Did it work before? If yes go to Time Machine and Look for any Backups. If there are any, use the latest one. If no that means it has no OS, so you‘ll have to reinstall MacOS Tahoe. Did you hold or press any Buttons while booting? If no your options Butten could be stuck (it’s the Button that lets you get into that Menu)

i went to a technician here, and he said to open coz it might be a hardware issue? but i refused because im scared they didnt even diagnose it or asked questions why it came up to that.
