Help 'Bread' themed ideas?
My friend is having a milestone birthday and she asked for a bread themed party. She also loves macarons. So, I was hoping to come up with some bread adjacent flavors? Any thoughts? I'm hoping to make 4 flavors. Ideas i have so far...
Gingerbread
Cinnamon roll or monkey bread
Strawberry short cake?

Cornbread?
Bread pudding with a raisin compote center
Instead of cinnamon roll call it cinnamon sugar toast!

I've done honey cornbread before with cornmeal in the shells. It was really good.
You can also do Mexican concha (they come in all sorts of flavors now, but vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry are most common) and put the craquelin in the sea shell shape right on top before baking. You can also pipe the design on top after baking with royal icing.

Ooh I was wondering if I could do cornmeal in the shell. Do you remember the ratio you did, and did you grind it finer at all?
A little Mexican concha macaron would be way too cute. Thanks for the tips!

You're welcome!! I did 30% cornmeal and 70% almond flour. I was able to find fine cornmeal and used that without grinding it. I wanted a little texture like you'd get from cornbread.

I'd consider a buttered toast, lol. Brown butter and breadcrumbs in a butter cream could be slightly weird but delicious.
Peanut butter and jelly also comes to mind.
