Public Service Announcement New Scam in Salcedo Village
We were walking along Dela Costa near Somerset and infront of the KSA Embassy. Then this man and woman came near us, at first it seemed that they were going to ask for directions then what came next was they were asking for money for their “baby son” who is in the hospital. Then they showed a prescription amounting to 5000 Pesos like from there on I knew it was a scam. No doctor would list a price of medicine in a prescription paper. Another takeaway was the guy was forcing to cry and it’s a holiday and the bank was close (which a lot of bank atms are available in Salcedo)as one of their reasons but they will rush to say that they take gcash as a form of donation if you don’t have a cash.
I wasn’t able to able to take their pictures because they walked away really fast once I walked away. I checked again after I was already near the security and police officers near the embassy. They were able to scam a couple with money but they were really far already. The scammers are very well put up in their clothing, but if you don’t budge from the woman who is crying the guy will try to cry but it’s a dead giveaway.

transportation & housing San Lorenzo Village to EDSA (Number Coding Issue)
If I’m coming from San Lorenzo Village, is there a way to access EDSA directly without having to pass through any Makati roads?
I need to leave San Lorenzo Village during the window hours on my number coding day. Is this possible, and if so, which exit/route should I take?
Thanks!

rant Ipis Problem sa Marketplace - Alphaland Ayala
Went to have my usual grocery shopping for the month. I frequent Landmark Makati but since it’s rainy then I ended with Marketplace Alphaland Ayala as it is nearer. Thus, more practical.
I started checking my go-to Gardenia Black Forest at the bread section and surprised to see small cockroaches inside the package. I also notice that the supposed enclosure is not properly placed. I started wondering whether the stories about employees in-charge of delivery ending up getting a slice or two per package of Gardenia is true because of how the packaging looks like. For obvious reasons, I skipped buying the item and continued checking other staples.
Not even an aisle after, I saw another cockroach roaming around and had to kill it. As I approach all the other aisles, cockroaches are quite everywhere. The establishment is due for pest control.
Just letting everyone know so you can be extra cautious when buying food items especially those that are resealable.

food/entertainment/activities Attempting to comeback with an ex- where to date?
I know it’s kind of FAQ, just wanted to know lang yung latest and updated recommendations
I will be meeting my ex-girlfriend of 6 years and will attempt to reconnect and reconcile. (Maybe a possible comeback if it goes well, haha mahal ko pa eh).
May suggestion ba kayo like a place or a restaurant where we can talk intimately? Maybe sa CBD or elsewhere basta intimate vibes and something romantic?
Price range for the both of us, 1500.00php-2000.00php
Any recommendations and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
(For those who wanted to know; we ended in good terms no cheating or anything bad happened - hindi lang talaga kami nag align before that’s why we broke up. Now I would like to try again. Mahal ko pa kasi kaya susubok ulit).

other Which barangays would you love to visit or live?
Makati City is just not about CBD (Ayala, Salcedo, Legazpi) and exclusive villages resided by wealthy class; there are some barangays that you’ll encounter when stepping outside the CBD area
As a person who grew up and raised in San Isidro - which is a residential place with a combination of sari-sari stores, small to medium houses + SM Hypermarket + some car wash shops + karinderyas
I often visited:
- Palanan (Cash and Carry)
- Bangkal (their medical clinic and a lot of car repair shops + with some Indian food restaurants and I see a lot of Indians residing this area, as there is a medical school here called AMA School of Medicine)
- Pio del Pilar (Waltermart and Cinema Square)
- Poblacion (Makati City Hall + diverse international cuisine restaurants and nightlife bars / party life) -
- Carmona (Circuit Makati)
They have the similar setup with San Isidro (karinderya, sari-sari stores, diverse residential houses)
What about you? Which non-CBD barangays would you try to explore? Or what are your thoughts about the non-CBD barangays?
This also serves as a appreciation post to these barangays to help people explore the “real Makati vibe”

food/entertainment/activities Landmark or Savemore or Cash and Carry
Guys sa’n mura mag-grocery among the three? For context, I’m around Chino Roces near Pio del Pilar. I know na medyo malayo yung ibang choices pero I’m fine walking/commuting naman. I’m alone naman here sa Makati since naka-bedspace lang but I love to cook foods for myself din. Sa’n kaya mura yung groceries, ESPECIALLY MEATS and vegies? Thank you!

food/entertainment/activities Any hidden eateries na mura around Dela Rosa, Makati?
Hi fellow OFWs!
Baka may alam kayong hidden gem or subok na eateries / carinderia spots nearby na budget-friendly (around ₱70–₱100 max for ulam)? Saan masarap at malinis kainan around Esteban, Soria, or Dela Rosa carpark area?
Planning to bring my own rice na lang para ulam na lang bibhin ko. TIA!

rant I Wish There Were More Dunkins than SBs
Cheaper, has donuts.
As a person that only wants a light breakfast and doesn’t want to spend more than ₱150, Dunkin is the practical choice. But the nearest branch one could dine-in is at Esteban St. pa 🥹
And honestly, I can’t understand why there’s an SB every 100 m. The most interesting example is the one at the Valero-Rufino intersection where you have two branches facing each other, one is a Reserve and one a regular branch. I really could never understand the hype ://
