I’m a beginner climber and I’m interested in getting into deep water soloing while I’m in Malta. I’ve done some indoor climbing and a bit of outdoor climbing, but DWS would be pretty new to me, so I’m looking for some advice from people who know the area.

What are some good spots for a beginner to check out? Ideally I’m looking for places that are relatively easy to reach by public transport, as I won’t have a car.

I’d also be interested in hearing about the more popular/well-known DWS spots, even if they’re not necessarily the easiest for a complete beginner. It would be great to know which areas tend to have other climbers around, as I’d definitely prefer not to be completely on my own while getting started.

Bortex is garbage. Every single time I go to one of their outlets they never have the most basic items in the most popular sizes. My waist size is size 34 and apparently Bortex don't have any navy or brown chinos in stock anywhere on the island. At this point I have no idea how they are still in business or what the fuck they're even selling.

I find it incredibly sarcastic that less people fine you for parking wrongly for example, and then THEY are the one parking however they feel like it. Is there a way to report this? Or do something? I was waiting for a tallinja today and they parked dead on the bus stop, so naturally the bus driver didn't even fucking stop.

I'm an Indian citizen who's been living in Malta for the past 4 years. I'm setting up an export business bringing general goods from India into Malta sourcing is on my end, and thanks to the new India-EU trade agreement, there's now a real duty advantage on Indian spices coming into the EU.

What I don't have is deep knowledge of the Maltese retail/wholesale landscape, local business registration, or existing relationships with shops here( currently i am learning the market) which is where a local partner would be genuinely valuable.
