I've played for about 1000+ hours on this game, and the more I play it, especially this season, I feel less and less motivated to play ranked. Solo queue genuinely feels like Go Fish at times. A lot of people tend to say that you can change your gameplay and not anyone else's. "If you're good enough, you will climb." I don't think that's really correct to say. I think it's more correct to say that "If you play enough, you will climb." The game is just straight rng at this point. You either get teammates who know their characters or you will get teammates who can't even get out of spawn and do what they need to do. And on top of that, there are too many characters in this game that need to be banned. If you play Diamond or low GM, you have to ban characters like Peni and BP, because if you don't, chances are you will lose the game. Every time I've played against a BP, it's a loss. Every time I play against a Peni, it's a loss. Without fail. And it's a dice roll whether your teammates play well with you or not. And people who pretend like this is not a thing are being extremely disingenuous. I understand that really good players can climb, but you have to be so much better sometimes that it isn't quantifiable to the rank that you are currently at. It's a team game. If there's one guy who is just messing up super hard, that's the game. And I feel as a tank player, my ability to carry games just does not exist as much as people who play DPS. I originally tried playing Black Cat for this reason, but since she's getting banned more often, I can't play them.

On top of that, if I'm doing well, I get counter-swapped by like 2 or 3 people in the lobby to make sure I can't play anymore. And then I swap to someone else I'm less proficient at. And if I somehow do well on them, I get swapped on again. That's just the nature of Hero Shooters, but it gets tiresome having this happen to you over the course of so many games. And then there's triple support, which is a whole other discussion.

I've just felt this way for a while. I'm not calling anyone out specifically: it's just how I've felt for the longest time about a game I've played since Season 0. I don't think my opinion will be taken very seriously, since I'm more so considered an average player, peaking GM, but it's just how I've felt playing the Solo Queue experience. I just want to enjoy the game I've loved since its inception without having to queue up with a duo or trio of strangers I barely know. And I don't want to get these players who start screaming when something goes wrong or are just completely boosted and are probably not meant to be in the rank that they are in.

like idk why not make the hela teamup make it so the clones have the same behavior as namors squids, maybe slightly lower its damage and healing then add an ability to make it focus fire on somebody

idk i just feel the clones both don't really feel like clones, and more importantly, i just think itd be fun, i love turrets and its odd there isn't a turret support, plus it makes it so the hela teamup is actually useful since rn its hilariously terrible

making it a teamup would also mean you lose out on the mantis teamups damage boost and rune size increase so itd balance itself out, and considering how much slower lokis fire rate is you wouldnt even need to change much to balance it out, maybe increase lokis individual damage and healing too?

I don't know much about Nightcrawler or Gor, but from what I got from the lore is that Apocalypse Saga has ended, and Gor is the main antagonist for next season.

I think the new map will be related to a mystical place or a very dark themed map like klyntar.

Whatever the map, it is probably related to God's since the most similar season theme was season 4 kunlun map with Angela vs. Daredevil. Kunlun map looked like a very mystical place.

Also, Gor is using the Necros sword.

We might see 👀 some map changes on klyntar domination where there's a giant sword in the middle.

Talking about domination, I think that they new map will probably be that, since we haven't got a domination map for competitive since last year season 6 museum ,season 7 new York, season 8 alchemax doom match , season 9 thebes.

Seriously, I literally can't see anything in a single match I do anymore. Every single team fight boils down to splashes of VFX covering the entire screen.

The problem was already horrendous before Jubilee and The Hood, now the game is just straight up unplayable. I genuinely don't blame anyone for wanting to use configs to lower the screen clutter because I honestly don't get how anyone is supposed to be able to see, let alone play, with this much stuff covering the field.

I swear, 90% the time I'm just shooting in random directions now because I'm blinded lmao. Idk if Netease thinks these effects make the game look prettier or something because it absolutely does the opposite lol.

Can someone high elo help me please. I was under the assumption that hero shooters are designed for every hero to have counter matchups that they lose against...

As far as I can see, Elsa has none. You cannot dive her, you cannot brawl her, you cannot flyer. It seems the best chance is to try and poke her out with long range hitscan and aim diff her. But there's no clear counter swap.

Finally got lord moon khight, now I got five lords, so now there will be more characters to lord farm.

I was wondering if these are decent stats for Cloak & Dagger in competitive. I believe I’m in the Gold II or III though so I don’t know if this is meaningful or not.

I have an RX 7900 XTX, and I crashed a ridiculous 4 times in one game when I had been crashing intermittently throughout the day and the previous few. I rolled back my drivers to the previous version (26.7.1), and, 3 games in, I haven't had any issues. I'll update this post if I do crash, but what I know for sure is that I would NOT use version 26.8.1.

No counterplay as long as he goes with a Venom, you can do nothing against them as any hero, no Peni nor anything they two jump to backline kill both healers and run away and repeat, not a single bit of counterplay against a BP and Venom at least Black cat has to fight, BP presses 3 buttons and due to venom jumping to them dealing absurd dmg he deletes both healers with a single dash

I'm sick and tired of seeing Mag every game and I need to know his HARD counters. I want to make people that abuse this broken tank regret playing him and make them go negative. What are his HARD counters?

I think the game should try to make most people want to play dps because a 1 3 2 comp is much nicer to fight than a 3 1 2 or a 2 1 3. I've a personal bias towards 0 5 1 if I get to be the healer

To start, I'm primarily a Tank/Support main (with a little dps in the bag), and I genuinely don't care what anyone says: playing against divers—especially good ones—is the height of my games.

Whether I'm trying to outplay a diver on Support or actively hunting them down all game on Tank, it feels engaging, intense, and actually interactive. When a good diver gets on top of me, I have to think. I have to track where they are/will be/was. I have to react. I have to use my cooldowns correctly, position myself properly, peel for my team, or find a way to turn the fight around.

And when I get to play Tank into a good dive player? Even better. There's an actual back-and-forth happening. I'm tracking them, they're looking for an opening, I'm trying to deny it, they're trying to bait my cooldowns, etc.

I'd take that 100 times out of 100 over playing against poke.

I'd rather fight a triple-dive comp than deal with Pokeslop™ where Hela (Or the other variants of hela that are virtually the same damn character) is sitting a mile away and casually 2–3 tapping people across the map, or someone is constantly flanking from another zip code while the rest of the team sits safely behind layers of sustain.

At least with dive, someone is actually interacting with me.

That's the biggest difference for me. Dive can absolutely be frustrating, especially when the enemy has a genuinely good diver, but even when I'm getting my ass kicked, its still funner than playing hide the pickle with the Hitscan E-kitten hiding behind and getting pocketed by that bastard magneto.

Furthermore it(dive) is actually balanced and quite frankly underpowered with the state the game is in (Seriously who thought it was a good idea for hela to have a stun AND iframe movement ability? which of course was buffed and now omni directional for some reason) which is the most boring shit possible of 80% of games just sitting main throwing damage down the lane.

MAG / the hood / venom

What does a good tank do? I try to get picks on supp/dps when they are exposed and try to give space to push up, any good tips someone can give to help a tank main get to diamond+?

On the losing streak I try to push up and get piled by everyone don’t get healed and die and everyone gets cooked. Any advice?

Or just extremely complicated? He has so many hard counters and no tech and needs precise placement with no damage anymore. I never even see Loki anymore in qp or comp

Mag and strange both cover the same niches but mag just diffs him in every way. No real point in using strange when mag is open. Only used for portal and that is it

If he’s so tank coded, why does everyone have to make such a plead case like Cyclops? He’s 7 feet? So is Hela lol. It was obvious that a god butcher who’s an assassin was gonna be butchering the tanks with % damage.

And don’t get me started on the Cyclops fans that wanted Scott as a dps that are now begging for Gorr to be a tank to try and atone for their sins 😭😭

AND the nightcrawler fans that only wanted Gorr as a tank so that Kurt could be a dps

This is the same situation as Elsa Bloodstone a few seasons ago where people who knew nothing about the character said that the blood-gem can heal people so she should be a support. And these incorrect takes get so much attraction because these characters are c listers with no vocal fan base to push back like Cyclops or Nightcrawler fans, which deludes the entire community into inevitable disappointment.

Basically these two were the first shooter esque games I ever played and I played Marvel Rivals first back in season 3. Don't get me wrong, back then I was HOOKED. I was obsessed with everything about the game and I played religiously. Somewhere around season 6 I stopped playing it, I just felt like I couldn't anymore and every new season and patch I've tried to get into it but it just feels bad for me. I can't describe it but the mood of the game is down, the balancing is shit and the screen clutter is way too bad. Also that might be the only game I have SUCH bad connection and frame rate problems with.

With Overwatch though, I tried playing back when Hazard released and I DESPISED that game. I tried it again when Vendetta released and I found myself enjoying it and played it quite casually. And after the massive recent content update I started playing Overwatch even more than I ever played Marvel Rivals and I say it with my chest that I enjoy it more. Roll queue is a life saver for me, the game feels so much easier to keep track of, I know the community is still horrid but its a massive improvement from MR and the characters feel so much more unique yet less stuffed with skills and the connection and frame rates are infinitely better! (given in mind I don't like Sierra at all and I'm not glazing Overwatch there are many things they could do better).

I'm not saying this opinion is the definitive answer for Marvel Rivals Vs Overwatch in fact I hate that argument and think they both should be games that you don't need to enjoy exclusively I just wanna hear everyone else's opinion and thoughts on the matter! I do genuinely love MR and have a soft spot for it in my heart but for now at least Overwatch is the game for me!

The abilitys are from Smite a MOBA, BUT if the kit is is tweaked to a class shooter, I think Ares would fit nicely in the very much needed Vanguard role
