Question Eternals
After rewatching Eternals. Yes I get wasn’t super comic book accurate and the wasn’t the greatest fights…. But personally I think back looking at it again it wasn’t that bad of movie would people want to see a second one?

Marvel had good standards back then and an average movie got a backlash/flopped. If you compare it with the current marvel lineup it is really good!

I agree I feel it was coming off the best films people had seen and expectations were too high but I agree compared to some other ones personally don’t think it’s as bad as people make out

I enjoyed it and wouldn't mind a follow up. I think it would have worked much better as a Disney+ series. There were 10 Eternals and we needed to focus on Sersi and Ikaris so the ending would be impactful, that left 8 Eternals fighting for what little character development was left.

Eternals was overhated. It's definitely flawed, but I'll die on the hill that it deserves a second chance.

It was long and drawn out and none of them as characters made me wish to see them again on the silver screen

It's rumoured that the Avengers movie (the one after Secret Wars) will feature the Eternals and the Celestials for 'Judgment Day'. But if time shows this rumour is inaccurate, in all likelihood (some of) the Eternals will feature in other MCU movies, but not necessarily their own.

I liked it. It was different.
Didn't Feige admit that he didn't plan on the movie but the director was passionate about it so he gave it a shot? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

I felt it was rushed and didn't explain much. It could have been better as a series, especially with all the different characters.

Yeah I've been saying since it came out that it should have been a series to expand on each character and then a couple episodes to tie things up. Introducing an ensemble cast that large and barely giving us any background was an awful choice.
I will say, I still enjoyed the movie. I think it was definitely overhated. Definitely not the worst movie Marvel has put out.

Should’ve been a series, there are too many characters in the movie, I forgot most of their names by the end of the movie and didn’t care for most of them, negatives aside I think its one of the best looking MCU movies visually, the CGI is also great. Chloe Zhao also seems to be a talented director , I think this movie just had way more potential as a series that actually got to develop its characters and world around them, they also had a hella stacked cast

I’d be cool with a second one. It definitely wasn’t my favorite but explored a lot of interesting stuff, I thought. But I doubt that’ll ever happen

It's one of my favorite Marvel movies. I felt like they did a pretty good job developing the characters for how big the cast was. The Eros stuff seemed promising, too.

I'll take a second dose of whatever they will make. While I agree that SI is the worst thing they've done in the MCU I don't hate it like most people. I'm glad for content, there was a time when it wasn't so prominently accessible in media other than comics. It will likely be that way again sometime so I will enjoy what I can while I can. The same goes for Star Wars.

There are worse MCU movies that get less hate because at least they feel like they’re a part of a great bigger picture.
Eternals feel like they came from nowhere and went nowhere.

I've personally always defended Eternals. I don't think it's top tier MCU but it is definitely an enjoyable watch and is very underrated visually. I believe the hate is way overblown but I understand its not for everyone
