So.... robots and drones are going to kill us all anyway so im taking advantage of the fact that i can use ai tools to design anything i want these days to hopefully make some cool music before that happens.

i used claude and autotel's github repo where they got the full maschine hid mapped and controllable in linux in order to design my own hardware tracking interface inspired by polyend tracker, dirty wave m8 + mixed with my fav parts of maschine and literal decades of tracking since rocking Fast Tracker 2 in high school in 1996.

Hey guys! I recently picked up a 2nd hand maschine studio a few weeks ago at a thrift store and I've been using it ever since, and I was wondering if you guys had any advice or tips on learning how to use it.
I play in an industrial metal band, and since I do keyboards and drums, I only have one hand to play drums with on the maschine. Is there any advice you guys can give to be able to do drums better? (like layouts, hidden mechanics, programming, generally how to use it).

Although it is a nice feature, I would prefer not to pre-program scenes or anything before a song, the band does not really want to be locked onto a backing track for the song, but if there is anything i can automate mid song, that would be sick. Any advice is appreciated!

​I recently bought a second-hand Maschine MK1 hardware, but unfortunately, the seller scammed me and refused to transfer the software license. Now I'm stuck with the controller and no software to use it properly as a VST in FL Studio.

Puedo sacar el sonido de Maschine hacia el SP, pero tengo que poner la salida de audio en "Main" en vez de "Headphones" en las preferencias; eso significa que tengo que escuchar todo a través del SP con los audífonos conectados a él, y es un lío y poco práctico para producción. I’m turning machine plus into a full featured tracker. Who needs machine software anyway 😊

I’ve always wanted a Maschine+ but back when it first came out I never had the money to get it. (I do now)
I know Maschine better than all the other daws/controllers (Push,Akai,Novation,Roland) and I wanted a standalone that I didn’t have to spend more time learning. (Mainly just being lazy and wanting to jump right in lol)
Now with them being bought out and going through changes, would it still be worth it to get one? Do yall think they may come out with something new and better soon?

I'm a Maschine novice and I'm running up against something puzzling. While I've found that removing a group through the software is easily done, I want to sometimes remove empty groups from the hardware. SHIFT+ERASE and then hitting the group to delete does not work for me, and I thought this was how it was done. Any takers?

Around the time when making this beat I started you using "trap" drums instead of "boom bap" drums. Gives it a different feel.

Hello!! I have an issue with mute on long midi notes. I have a monofonic bass lane with legato mode, and one of my notes sounds in the whole pattern. Im trying to do a Jam, but when I mute/unmute the group (for example at second bar) midi placed on C2 does not soun again until the pattern restarts, just sound F2 notes. Do you know any way to solve this without chop C2 midi in every F2 sound or without transform midi to audio? I wanna record while Im playing in the jam and I have no time to do this while im playing. Thanks!!

I want to get a sound card to connect to my M+ so I can split the groups outs before sending them to my mixer. I basically need 2-3 stereo outs, so I can mix my groups audio outside of M+, and ideally on a budget because this would be the soundcard's only purpose.

I was thinking of getting a 2nd hand Komplete Audio 6 since it would for sure work with M+, but I'm wary of getting even more NI hardware in this uncertain time, and with 4 audio outs, it's 2 outs shy of my ideal amount (I can't connect the sp/dif outs to my mixer without additional gear).

Do you think a 2nd hand Komplete Audio 6 is a good idea right now for this purpose?

Do you have a recommendation for a non NI budget 6+ audio out interface that works well with M+?

Not super familiar with MIDI in general and I have very simple music production knowledge, but I’ve been trying to track some scores for a surf film that I’m making and have been running into issues with my mikro.

I run a plugin for my guitars and everything works fine. I started trying to track drums on top of these parts and it was working at first but now sounds like the attached video. Many hits play for a split second and stop so the drums sound super choppy. I ran every update I could on both my computer and maschine but I just get a clipping noise or skipped notes.

My assumptions are

1. My MacBook Pro is about 6 years old. Could be a processing thing?

2. I have my plugins in logic plus I’m running a scarlet interface and maschine at the same time through a usb hub (i tried to run this direct and had the same issue) so maybe this is a case of too much plugged in at once?

3. I am just misunderstanding the appropriate method to record maschine sounds into logic. I haven’t actually put any notes down in the track, they are running through the maschine instance in logic.

I would like to not have to focus on troubleshooting and get back to simply creating! As you may imagine It’s been taking the fun out of everything so any help would be appreciated!

I recently acquired a Traktor and a Maschine second hand in very good condition.

I took me way to long with bad webdesign and missing pages (cf.Maschine software page) to find out that you could not simply download an executable for the software but download these through a dedicated application.

After downloading the NI download platform for Windows 10, I started the procedure to have these products reregistered so I could download the appropriate software.

It took me to a step-by-step guide that necessitates a NI account.

Creating a NI account surprisingly took me to another site, inmusic, and there I tried creating an account. Standard login, email and password.

My every day personnal address gets refused with the message declaring that that email address isn't allowed to be used because found in a databreach.

Surprised, I try another address, and a third, still with this same message.

Bemused, I create a new gmail address and try using that. Same message. This email address has been found in a databreach.

As I am about to get a sledgehammer and start smashing everything with a NI logo on it, I thought: what is the situation?

I have spent nearly $1000 NZD on hardware that I have spent years saving for and dreaming of. Now I can't use it.

I can't get email support because of inmusic. Can't even get a stupid AI chatbot to make me even more frustrated.

Any suggestions?

Hoping someone can help after hours spent going in circles.

I am currently using Maschine 2 on a Mac running Tahoe. I'd like to record myself doing a live loop session using my Maschine hardware, as well as vocals with a mic. I want the entire recording, from when I initially create the loops, build on them, and then put vocals over top. I am looking to use the entire audio file for a YouTube video (attaching it to an accompanying video of me during the process).

The mic is connected to a Scarlett 6i6 1st gen Interface, and I have downloaded Blackhole at the suggestion of ChatGPT to send the recording to GarageBand.

My current settings are as follows:

Garage Band: Output Scarlett 6i6, Input Aggregate Device

Maschine: Multi-Output Device, with Output in Monitor 1 and 2

When I press record on Garage band, the meter moves if I play a pre-recorded loop from my Maschine pad, and it is also picking up my vocals on a separate track. It is able to record these.

My issue is that when I try to start a new recording from scratch in maschine, aka start a new 4 bar loop using either an instrument or my vocals, Maschine doesnt pick it up. The input source is External Mono, in 1 L (same as my Scarlett).

Is there anyone able to offer suggestions based on this whack of info? Lol. ChatGPT is sending me in circles and I've already contributed to enough global warming...
