No, not exactly at all and in no way harmless. The lady could have gotten hit by a car or a bus while crossing the road. Context is important here, it's clear that she's from a 3rd world country where most of the old generation, especially women have no formal education and a significant portion of society actually believes in sorcery. There is a reason she was selected for the prank(if it's even real) instead of the young people around.

1) Who are we? You want some law that applies worldwide?

2) Usually it's covered by image rights, you can't just film random people on the streets and post it on the internet without their permission. Though of course smaller content creators don't care.

Number 2 isn't true.

In America, if you're in the public, you can absolutely record someone and post their likeness online. There is no expectation of privacy while you're in public.

The only thing that could be challenged is whether or not the video you posted is monetized.

Indeed. The Daily Show once when into detail about this, about how they always get permission from the wackos they interview, but pointed out that, if they wanted to, they legally have no obligation to only show content with permission or even blur faces, even if requested, and that if they do it's done as a courtesy.

I often see people on Reddit fume that a content creator is illegally making money by filming strangers in public without consent. The truth is that photographing strangers and filming them, even for sale, is legal, barring very specific exceptions:

  • Commercial advertising: Using their likeness to market or endorse a product without a signed release.
  • Private spaces: Filming where someone has a reasonable expectation of privacy, like restrooms or locker rooms.
  • Criminal voyeurism: Capturing illicit or hidden angles, such as "upskirting."
  • Harassment: Following or targeting someone maliciously after being told to stop (this is where most content creators are most culpable).
  • Defamation: Editing the footage falsely to imply they are committing a crime.
