🏥 Med School Does it get better?

Hi, i am currently third year of med school and i am about to start fourth ( if i have enough credits, if not i will be going again 3rd ). I am feeling so depressed and so lost. I passed 95% of the subjects and i have pretty good scores and grades.
I don’t want to be a doctor anymore because od the professors and the torture that i am feeling from all the exams, quizzes, practical exams, hospital exams, it is all wxams, exams and exams. I do not have a life, i have 1 month off yearly and that’s it. All of my friends are going around the world and having fun and i am searching for anti anxiety meds. I feel like it is never going to be better which sucks because all i wanted was to be a doctor my whole life. Since 7th grade. In my country we have a medical high school, i finished that and then i enrolled to university, i was so happy, but now i think i made a mistake.

You posted this previously today in the medical school reddit. It does not get better until you strive to make it better. Does your school offer therapy/counseling services? You will get decent-great advice on reddit but you should definitely reach out to friends/classmates/family or counselors.

Apparently it gets better when the study is over, but you will be able working with a team of doctors who expect you to take their shifts because they also want a life. It is the ultimate prestige and the money is great; money is more important than ever, being young you might not yet understand the leverage it gives you over other people in social and relationship settings.

It gets much better and if you are money conscious you can retire early. Better than almost all other professions. PGY-21 PRY (post retirement year) 1
