Wait, but Stray had an ending. The cat gets to be free in the wild again and see the sun

It had an ending but not one that gave much information, all we know is the cat got outside and the city was open, not much actual detail like whether the outsiders were able to reunite, or if the cat could get back to its family

It's a game with space for a sequel but the story doesn't demand it. And it certainly didn't promise it the way some other games have.

There's a YouTuber called sdk who mapped out the route the cat went through in the city. It turns out their home was pretty close to the exit the cat took out of the city, like a 20 second run to the right
