Lindor

I wonder if the Mets can convince him to try another position. Because sweet Jesus, he’s been making a ton of errors at Short this season.

And only going to regress further as he ages.

I would be open to shifting him towards 2nd Base…

“Towards second base.” So you want him to continue to play shortstop but at double play depth.

Why doesn’t he play short directly in front of the batter?

He had a ton of errors last year too, and that was with Alonso saving him with his picks.

Part of it is definitely regression. But part if it was also Vientos and Polanco missing his throws at first. He's been better with Young.

In all likelihood he gonna be a 2nd baseman after semien is gone

Jefferson Rojas will be the primary every day 2B before Semien’s contract is up.

SHOULD be...yes. all likelihood? Not sure. He'll move when he says he'll move ..

Exactly… his ego won’t allow that and if they try to move him it’ll turn into another “thing” with him

I just watched Freddy Peralta pitch against us the way he should've FOR US. Further proof that stearns gets these small market guys who can't handle a big city. Projection at its finest. So yeah Lindor is the least of my worries

He will move to 2b when we have someone who can take that position. Also, he hasnt been right all season. He was a dynamic fielder before this season. I am willing to bet on some positive regression from that standpoint.

Errors aren’t everything. He’s an average defender this year (0 OAA), even with some regression there’s still some time before he’s actively bad. And moving to second will extend his defense quite a bit.

Over the hill… he has a bad back

After carrying this team in ‘24, I think that’s absolutely understandable.

Either way is ‘26 now and his best years are behind him now we have a huge contract and no rings to show for it 🤷‍♂️
