Pretty sure extreme couponing functionally doesn’t exist anymore. Lots of coupons are only 1 valid per transaction and not applicable with other deals, etc, etc. now.

Yup. I am glad for the limits on items, tho. Once Lucky’s had a deal on Dungeness crabs with no limit and some shoppers had filled their entire carts with them. I had to fight two ladies just to get two for my husband and I. I asked the cashier WTH and she said “greedy”.

It was definitely going strong when I worked there from 2015-2017(It can be hard to get out of retail). We had to make a rule that you couldn't have a negative total because people were using coupons on items from the dollar aisle. I think one of the big ones was $1 boxes of dog food with a $5 off coupon iirc... My manager actually hid some in the back for herself because these couponers would snatch up everything on the shelf and she wanted to take advantage of the coupons too.

My wife coupons for fun; she uses multiple apps such as Fetch and Isle. She basically gets reimbursed in gift cards through the apps once she buys enough crap. 

She mainly profits from using new snack products. You rarely get something you’d really want, like produce or meat.

There’s like a whole community for it on Instagram.

For small chain stores they are, but not for like "whole food" or Walmart

It doesn't anymore.

A coworker got me into it like 20 years ago and we would go to Mejier before work and get like $200 in groceries for $10. All the stuff was just super random and I donated most of what I ended up getting to the women's shelter in town.

I stopped because 90% of what I got, I didn't want but it was free or negative which paid for my 10% of things.
