Tech Question Carb confusion

Recently swapped in a predator ghost engine to my Baja doodle bug, as I was taking everything apart to set up the throttle cable. This little clip fell out of the throttle piece and I don’t know how it went inside it. What is it called and how do I reinstall it?

Goes inside the hollow tube from the opposite side of the needle in a way that the needle cannot go up.

that needle right there it goes on top of it you might have to squeeze it a bit but it should pop in

As they said, this will go in last laying down and squeezing it like a spring into the opening on top of the slide. Push it down to the bottom of that opening where it will sit against the needle. It's a retainer for the needle so it doesn't float around and give you sporadic rich\lean mixtures.

I've always found it easier to install the little retaining spring with a pair of needle nose plyers. Been doing that for over 50years.
