I tried to test it with our very recent bit of trivia, players who hit leadoff and walkoff home runs in the same game, but the response indicated that it wasn't able to identify walkoffs. Then it gave me a list of (I think) players who hit at least 2 HR in a game, including a leadoff HR.
I also tested some simple queries with easy to verify answers, and it got those exactly correct! (Example: Most triples in a season since 2000 by a player who also had a SLG of .500 or greater.)
Lastly, I asked which pairs of brothers had the most combined hits in their careers, and I guess the data doesn't have family relationships in it, because it delivered a very wrong (but kind of fun!) list of players with the same last name who combined for the most hits...
Great feedback, thank you! Among the (many) things I plan to update , one of the early ones is to make it clearer when it doesn't have enough data to produce an accurate result. Your examples are a good illustration (it sort of just tries its best even though it doesn't have the data you need).
Right now it can answer questions about teams, seasons, player-seasons, and games (as in who won or lost, how many home runs were hit, etc.) but NOT play-level data (eg who hit a home run in the 2nd inning).
