An easy example would be the death of lawyer Garry Hoy, which would get parodied and ridiculed by online sources and television shows. This was an incident that apparently had dozens of witnesses, involving someone at the firm who was said to be well-respected and liked, and his death likely played at least some role in the closure of Holden Day Wilson three years later, which was Canada's biggest law firm failure up until that point. It got to a point of notoriety where even the most widely circulated image of Hoy online was of an unrelated man with a similar name - Wikipedia does have Hoy's correct photo now, but the majority of Google image results still bear no resemblance to the real Garry Hoy. For those who may have known Hoy, are related to him in some way, or were witness to his death, I wonder how they feel about how the incident - or Hoy himself - has been portrayed in the years since.
Some other examples that might apply:
Basically any 'Darwin Award' winner, or had received some other form of virality specifically for their passing
If anyone has any insight on the matter, it'd be much appreciated.

Especially for stuff like oxycodone or other opioids. I thought taking too much of these pills induces nausea and causes you to vomit them out.

For me, it's that 127 retakes on Shining and the fact "Eyes Wide Shut" caused a series of unfortunate events like Tom Cruise being threatened by "that" organization he was a member of. What's your morbid media fact?

I've heard people say it's a domination kink of wanting to be used as a toilet, which I still find disgusting ofc but I can kinda wrap my head around it.
But i've also heard of people being into their own shit, eating it, purposefully shitting themselves, rubbing it on themselves etc. which I don't understand. Can anyone explain this to me?

Maybe something that acts as a coagulant or slow the blood flow? That's the limit of my Greys Anatomy medical degree.

When I was around 15 I tried hanging myself, I remember hanging for about 30 seconds and my vision started blurring, I couldn't swallow so drool was everywhere. I only stopped because my dog at the time started barking and I didn't need my grandparents to come in and see it before I finished. So I got the noose untied and let him out. I've had two attempts since but I didn't get to that point, I always chickened out. I am better now and made it to 28 almost 29, but I've been thinking back on it.

I’m asking as someone who has had depression since I was a kid. It’s never went away. My mental health is now so bad I can’t even give myself medication that I need to give myself. I don’t want to exist anymore

Was just reading about Robin Williams hanging himself.
I don't understand why people choose to go out in such horrible painful ways, when there's so many easy painless ones, car fume poisoning (carbon monoxide), gas asphyxiation (e.g. methane in a cave), or just getting drunk and laying in freezing temperature.

Like think of it earth is currently at population it never saw before so much housing and rest stuff needed for living is becoming more scarce and slowly expensive. So I thought if we just eliminate half but like regulated not like any genocide like eliminate people over sone age gap as old people already just use resources and contribute nothing and just await death slowly. Like can't we think of it like just trimming grass so it doesn't outgrow house and cause huge mess? Wouldn't this help economy too?

Question for a book I'm writing. I want to be as vivid in my detailing as possible. For reference, the character dies of blunt force trauma, not drowning.

So you got a fresh body in front of you, what parts do you cut off? Do you cut it like steaks? Ribs? Ground it like hamburger? How do you keep it for later? That’s a lot of meat, you’re not eating all that in one sitting so vacuum sealed bags in the a deep freeze or is a ziplock bag in my mini fridge also safe? How long can I store this meat? What’s the best internal cooking temperature? Also for fun, what dishes would you make using human meat?

I was playing one of the hitman games and it got me thinking. So you can hire someone to assassinate but could you hire someone to ruin another persons life?
im not talking about doing little things either like letting their pet run loose or keying someone’s car. could you hire someone to ruin a career or tarnish a reputation? obviously paying to kill is illegal but are there people you could hire to ruin a life legally? Genuinely curious 🧐

The friend wanted to keep his head, dismember his body, and see the torso, arms, and legs in different garbage bags…

I’m not talking about assisted suicide. I knew a very wealthy old man who ordered a custom Rolls Royce. When it was ready, he sent his chauffeur to collect the car. He poured a glass of whisky, lit a cigar, and sat down by the fireplace in his favorite chair. Chauffeur returned and found him dead, in the chair, hands still on his vices.
I just think that’s the way to go. Happy, at home, at peace, full of anticipation. What’s the happiest death you’ve heard of?

So growing up my mom told me to not touch dead animals cause they’ll get me sick. I also watched a dead cow be removed from a field cause if the other cows ate it, they’d get sick. So how did Dahmer not have to make a doctors visit due to cannablism, living in an apartment full of rotting meat, as well as fornicating with it? Same with Ed Kemper and Ted Bundy, how did their members not get infected with something?
