Is it crazy I want this even though I already have the 18.5 version? Reason being I like that fde, and would like a longer barell to fit more rounds.

One extra round and a little more velocity. FDE furniture is cool too. Worth every penny if you ask me. If I was buying a Maverick today, this would be the model I would get.

I had such a religious mindset of having all black guns. After putting some fde on my rifle now I want more fde guns. This Maverick is beautiful.

I personally fuck with the equal length barrel and magazine. I think it looks meaner and more badass. If you have the extra cash to purchase id say fuckin go for it

I mean... i like my 20". The extra barrel is barely noticeable and you get just a little more capacity, which helps fix the main drawback of any shotgun for defensive use. I say get you one. Plus then you have a spare 😉

20 inch barrel is the sweet spot. It’s still super light compared to my 590s and the extra capacity is a no brainer. Is this listing at Vance outdoors? I’m glad I got mine for $209!

I got the 20inch on sale as well, and my pops went, and got the 590 retrograde. lol! Excellent shotguns!

I have a mossberg 590a1 7 shot with bead and a mossberg590a1 9 shot with ghost ring sights. …..I still want a 9 shot with bead and 7 shot with ghost ring sights 🤣

I have the 18.5 too and wish I had bought this one. So when I saw a deal on one of these for that exact amount, I bought this one too. Same color

i have the same one. the fde is painted and will wear but i prefer the used look. it's also nice to have the extra capacity though it does feel a little heavy when full. still no excuse to not pick it up. especially for the price!

Man, don’t even think on it. Adding another work horse to the stable if you have the means, is never a bad thing! Need to justify it? It’s a backup if your primary ever busts or goes down. It’s an extra source of parts on hand if the need to replace something worn ever pops up. It’s going to have a different setup/use case than you 18”. You can think of other reasons I’m sure.

When I got mine, I was stuck between the 18.5in model, or this exact version. I ended up picking this because an extra 1.5in on the barrel did not seem like it would cause issues in a HD situation, but 2 extra shells could be the difference.
