People like this should never own a motorcycle
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I saw this video on Instagram and the crash was completely caused by her own stupid mistake. Yet somehow a bunch of people on her profile are blaming the car instead of admitting what actually happened.
She then restricted the comments so only positive comments are allowed, basically shutting down anyone who points out her mistake.
This is exactly the kind of attitude that has no place on a motorcycle. If you can’t take responsibility for your own mistakes, learn from them, and accept criticism, you have no business riding.
People like this should never own a motorcycle.

I also see male riders doing it too - you know the gymbro with a blacked out R7 with no gear speeding in the highway the ones usually get in an accident and get killed. Another one is that when I see people put it on the handlebar. It’s kinda better position, for a dashcam but for my preference and content creation I would stick to chinmount, it’s so relaxing to watch videos of the actual riding POV rather than a third person view of the ride

My problem with a chin mount is that I check my mirrors and rotate my head quite frequently, so the video doesn't feel that good to watch. I got ball mounts which fit into the mirrors' mounting points and I put my 360 camera there when I go somewhere nice. In the city I just the chin mount as a "dashcam".

I consider myself at least average at being empathetic, but just can't get into a headspace where instead of going out on a bike and enjoying the isolation of the road, you decide to install a boom on your bike so people can marvel at your awesome physical prowess while you fuck up stupid maneuvers.
Passing a turning car in it's blindspot on the shoulder isn't some brilliant move that most people pull off. People don't do it because it's essentially Russian Roulette, and you're putting your life competely in the hands of someone who probably doesn't even know you're there.

You can just tell straight away by the waddle that she can't ride can't you 😭 Any time anyone waddles a lot or leaves their foot dangling for ages after pulling off you just know they can't ride for shit. She needs to focus on learning to ride rather than mindlessly revving, which does nothing but give real bikers a bad name.
As soon as I'm moving my feet are up out of the way on the pegs. I very rarely have two feet down either.
102
u/The_AverageCanadian 7h ago
It's not the waddle it's the constant revving. Anybody who sits there unable to keep themselves from going "rev rev rev rev rev rev rev" every half second must have so short of an attention span that I'm honestly surprised that made it that far through the video before they crashed.
It just screams "waaahhh moooooove I have to go faaaast"

I remind everyone who tells me about the statistics of motorcycles being dangerous that dipshits like this exist, pumping up the numbers.
Yes, its absolutely more dangerous than just driving per mile. There is no such thing as a "fender bender" on a motorcycle.
But I will still argue that the bulk of the numbers are because of dipshits like this chick and assholes weaving through traffic at triple digits.
I know guys who are ancient, who have died of natural causes, after riding for longer than I have been alive. Its almost like you can ride in a manner that mitigates a good portion of the risk.

Not arguing about a white helmet, both of my street helmets are mostly white for the temp reasons. Hell, I use white or yellow gloves for hand signals (90% of the time Im stuck leading rides...)
Im talking about this specific aesthetic popular with "influencers" like this idiot. That’s my point with the e bikes, and their stereotypical riders.
Theirs way less barrier of entry with e bikes. I see a lot of kids riding them that look like they’re out-riding their abilities. The other thing that really pisses me off is that they also feel the need to literally ride in the middle of the road.
Price, license, ability. And etiquette are all shortcut with these stupid e bikes.

German here, to get your motorcycle license of any class (A1/A2/A = 125cc/48hp max/open) you have to learn the "Grundfahraufgaben" (Basic driving maneuvers), which you have to show the examiner during your practical test.
One of those excersises is stop and go, where you have to stop on one specific foot (left, left, right right during my test) to proof that you can easily control your bike when stopping. Another big excersise is the slow speed slalom, which causes the most falls during practice.
These two skills combined make your life in city traffic so much easier. This "rider" clearly is untrained as shit or on the wrong bike, which is bad by itself, but nearly no gear? Can't people just be stupid in their own 4 walls?
