Anyone used CAMECHO brand Android Auto/Carplay device?
I looked at this model on Amazon for CAD $75. The price is low enough that I won't cry if it fails, but high enough that I don't want to buy known junk.
I know that there are a ton of these on the market at wide price points, and I think most likely 80% of them are exactly the same product, but you never know. Wondering if anyone has used this model or at least this 'manufacturer'

I haven't used that brand but I ordered this one for my truck and it's been pretty frikken great. It needed an update for newer phones but it was easy and took like 2 minutes, ever since it's been a rock solid connections.

What do you mean by the update for newer phones?

The one I bought had issues if your phone was running android 16 I think it was. It would lose connection to my phone every few minutes. There's a specific warning label in the box about this.
You just have to go into settings on the device, hit update and it uses your phone to run a quick update. Ever since, it's worked perfectly. Took like 2 minutes to fix.

Not that brand but something similar, I picked up this one https://a.co/d/0aMEtOkO and a cheap headset and haven't had any issues for the last year or so.

I am thinking to use a E-ink phone but still have to test. E-ink have reached a lever where the refreshing is not bad and very visible under direct sun light. But is a very expensive experiment

they work fine, I have basically the same one different name. I like it but the screen resolution and colors suck and 5" is probably a little small.

Not the same brand but I got one on eBay for $40 shipped. It's been working great for the past 5 months and a few thousand miles. Looks like they raised the price to $50 https://ebay.io/m/zEVB53

What's the issue? Looks like the diagonal measures the screen, but the horizontal and vertical measurements are the whole device.

I don't understand why people think they need a screen mounted on their bike. You look at screens all day long until you go to bed. Take that time on your bike to loose all distractions. Ditch the bar mounted phone/screen and just ride!

GPS. Music Controls. Some people want to be able to take phone calls.

You can do that with a Sena or other brand Bluetooth helmet kit. Looking at a screen while riding to me is just dumb!

I dare you to find any head unit that doesn't have components made in China.

No experience with that brand but I've had this one on my bike for a month or so, seems to work fine. The only the I don't like is that I can't figure out how to have the whole screen be just one app instead of split screen. But maybe that's an Android Auto thing.
