Here's a quick snap of my Angus (1995) original one sheet. I'm not gonna type a love letter but just know I adore this movie something fiercely. So I guess this is one of my favorite pieces of whatever.

While I have plenty of reproductions, sometimes I forgot about all these dope original posters I have rolled up as well.

Any fans of the movie?

I haven’t seen many listings of these online so they must be uncommon now, selling on Vinted and will be carefully rolled up in a poster tube and sent 🫶

Hi, sorry if it's the wrong thread, I'm looking to print in A0 a end of Evangelion poster and need a very very high definition (probably 8k or even 16k) image for that and don't know where to look for that.

I grew up surrounded by movie posters. Dad collected them starting around 1978. Went to Hollywood and picked them up at these "book store" type shops that sold what movie theater employes would bring by and sell off instead of turning in back to the distributors.

He had them professionally played on cardboard backing and shrink wrapped and used art clamps to hang them on the walls. At any given time there were at minimum 12 different posters hanging up around our apartment. For my entire school years until I moved out at 18 I was surrounded by Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Batman, Jaws, Rocky Horror, Conan, JAmes Bond from The Spy Who Loved Me to The Living Daylights, Terminator franchise 1-sheets. Not just one version of one movie, he got in many cases (Star wars) different versions of the US 1-Sheets, and a couple of inserts (they were able to take up a spot where there was more room)

SO MANY POSTERS. He would get them by franchise, or artist, or some kind of visual aspect that made them appealing. They lived in the front coat closet, stood up and he would flip through them every few months and change them out depending on what new movie was coming out, or just random.

Rocky Horror, "A different set of Jaws" and the one with Tim Curry on the lips. Xanadu, two versions, Grease, Top Gun, Hanover Street, The Sting, Zachariah, Wizards (two versions), teaser posters for Dragon Slayer and Empire (Vader in Space along with the teaser and one with the red and of Revenge of the Jedi across the bottom corner that im told was added by that theater because it was on the Empire poster NOT A New Hope).

Anyhow, I know hes saved them for me but he hasn't listed them.

I want to go to a website and just look at the posters to see which hit my memory so I cand save the image. I dont want to be typing in the information, I just want to SEE them so I can remember if it was there or not, then save the image.

I keep ending up wading through forign posters, Etsy posts, reproductions, and stuff I cand use.

Im trying to build a flip deck of the posters, Outside of wading through Heriage Auctions is there an easy resource where I can just see the posters from 1978 - 1992?

We just got it custom framed with museum glass! From a local family owned shop. I don’t want to talk about the price 😭 just wanted to update after my last post asking if it was original and what to do with it! We did not restore it as we think the signs of aging are what makes it cool 😎 and we love the original fold line creases!

Dims are actually 30”x42.5”.

What’s the preferred framing method here? Ask framer to trim to fit into a pre-made 27x41, or spend a ton of money to have a custom frame?

What was considered a B movie in 1956 , as a veteran of the 101st Airborne myself, this half sheet was appropriate. Crazy thing is , I can’t find the actual movie anywhere to actually watch it . I had the half sheet poster professionally matted and framed .

It was something where an entire family was pushing their front door on a relative to keep them out. Can't exactly remember.

This is the poster from the German version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes from 1937. This is believed to be one of one, it was never folded, and was placed on rice paper. I’ve had the rice paper removed and placed in on linen. It’s 37x55 inches and if you look closely in the trees it has a Reich censorship stamp from 1936. It very atmospheric and love the colors.

I rescued this from a cinema undergoing active demolition. Never seen this specific design before, but I love the graphic in the bottom-right of the guards with dogs taking the place of the punching hand!
