Was walkin around the mall & decided to get a single CBP from GameStop just cause I knew I could get it for about $20 off and this just happened to be in the pack. Easily the most expensive card ive ever pulled.

Bought 5 more lotr packs and got the non-foil version. On the downside I might be developing a gambling addiction

Traded in my non foil mind stone for store credit and got a pre release box..

My wife and I just pulled these back to back. I got the foil one and she got the regular one! Thought it was too good to be true for a minute.

41 total rares and mythics, including the box topper.

Saw they had weird 9.99 repackage mystery packs...

Every magic play booster has a $0.30 rare...

And this came with three rares...

All were 30 cents..

But... Why was this in there?

Can’t complain about the pulls. Smaug book cover and Mina’s Tirith are surge foils. I got the box from Walmart.com last week during the Walmart Wednesday drop. Overall happy with the box, fuck the scalpers! Magic cards are meant to be played and I’m going to be brewing with these for awhile.

Went to my first ever commander night and got this from pack splitting. This is my first time pulling a card worth more than a couple cents so I'm excited!!!

I think me and cyclonic rift are pals or something. This is the third cyclonic rift I’ve pulled from a pack since coming back to this game within the last 6 months.

I’ve pulled the plain Mystical Archive cyclonic rift from one of my play packs in the Codex bundle way back. Then at a TCG convention I bought a random Return to Ravnica pack at a smaller vendors setup. She only had the one pack. Pulled the OG cyclonic there. Then I pull the silver scroll from this single SoS CBP. (I’ve gotten burned on way more packs than I have had good pulls but these few good experiences have made the chase worth it at times.)

MASSIVE THANK YOU, to whoever that guy was who informed the main subreddit that Best Buy was having a Labor Day weekend sale on SoS draft nights.

I did consider grabbing two but decided to leave it at one. Wishing I would’ve got the second one now, maybe I would’ve had a hot streak? Even if not this one card pays for both and then some.

The CBB I had actually ordered wasn't shipped by the retailer, so I bought this one today at my LGS….

Stopped at LGS in my way to work and picked up an EoE collector booster. Pulled absolute fire

Is something worth anything?

Second one I’ve pulled out of random packs, I bought another at a shop. Glad I have a few for different decks now.

She’s luckier than me 100%.

I live close to a Walgreens that will occasionally have one or two packs of SoS or Lorwyn Eclipsed, and they are always extremely dry. This is probably the driest booster I’ve opened in a while.

Thoughts

I have been really feeling the FOMO on the Hobbit set but with costs as they are I only I was only interested if I could find one at MSRP. I am out of town to see my sick mom and I ran into a Best Buy for a bathroom and they had 4 CB packs but would only sell me one. But it was a good one. It has been a really hard few days so this was a nice change.

And yes yes put it up my butt.

Forgot to post this last Friday. Went to Target and grabbed 4 packs. Ran into a guy who said it was limited to two per person. So I had to do the ole “Which ones my lucky pack?” Put 2 back, kept 2.

The Lord has blessed me because this is the one card I really really wanted and needed for decks. I did not and still do not ever want to pay $50+ for it. So I was overjoyed. Bonus settle the wreckage for instant speed, one sided exile board wipe.

Literally bought 3 collector booster packs to open before the box, and last pack magic pulled Gleaming Splendor which was my main chase apart from the Arkenstone in book cover v (not fussed on surge or foil).

Contemplating now that opening the box isn’t gonna be worth it
