Sometimes you just want to 'treat' yourself and give in to the temptation of collecting pins. It can be very relaxing - especially if you find a good spot and end up collecting about 500 pins (by weight) over 4 hours.

And there was also a bonus cloth seal and my very first, very flat thimble from the same area with a load of modern coins thrown in...

Found this Japanese porcelain cup buried in my backyard. From what I’ve been able to find, it looks like it may date to the late 1800s. No idea how common these are, but I love how much of the original detail survived!

Found all of these buried deep in my backyard. Clay pipes, stems, and old mouthpieces, probably tossed aside without a second thought after one last smoke. Now, more than a century later, they’re some of my favorite little pieces of the people who were here before us!

Dug this up and was shocked by how much of the color and detail survived. She’s definitely seen better days lol, but I love it. Anyone know roughly how old it might be, where it came from, or anything about its history?

I saw the lip of the glass peaking out of the dirt, so I grabbed it. I found the bottom piece a few feet away completely unburied.

Hi, does anyone have an idea what this could be?

I found it in my garden while digging.

It's the size of a pound coin with a ceramic feel to it.

Hi from across the ocean :) while kayaking and pebbles and rock observing I found this, I knew it was a clay pipe bowl but I cannot find any visual images of the same design.

"Tide" is very abnormally low this season apparently in this lake. It was deep into sand/mud/clay'ish material with many type of granit and marble and chert fragments.

Any help identifying the provenance or design will be greatly appreciated :)
