Process for making cord loop webbing

I want to use cord loop webbing for a project I'm currently working on, but I was disappointed by the quality of what was commercially available. This afternoon I took a couple hours to make a jig for getting consistently spaced loops along 1/2in webbing. you can tension each side after weaving the cord through to get it nice and tight. after that, I hit the webbing/cord with a little super glue and let it dry. if I want a longer section, all I have to do is take the webbing off, move it over (leaving a few finished loops as a reference), and begin the process again.

And you only stich it secure when you put it in the seam of you actual project? no bartack?

that's the idea! it's going to be for a pair of shoulder straps, so it doesn't need to be insanely strong. I suppose you could bar tack it anyways if you wanted 🤔. this jig is primarily to solve the consistent spacing problem.

So it’s glued and not sewn? What are you using it for?

the glue is more just to hold the cord in place until it can be sewn. I'm going to use it for backpack straps!

what is your process for sewing it on to the product? straight stitch down the middle of the webbing? maybe reverse a few stitches each time you go over the cord?

exactly! I'm also envisioning using a flat felled seam, so that should also add to the strength of it.
