Does anyone have access to old resource booklets for NCEA L2 and 3 Unfamiliar text, please?

How hard is level 3 chem? Didn't take it in level 2 which is very stupid of me but I was more focused on a completely different career path at that time-- I only take one science which is bio, but I'm interested in dentistry and understand chemistry is very important for that. It's hard to describe how difficult a subject when everyone is different but I'm good at most subjects that aren't math related. I've gotten around 45+ E credits so far but I have a feeling mocks is gonna go really badly and I'm good with memorization.

I have mock exams coming up quickly, and im super lost on the 3.6 human evolution topic. I noticed in the level 2 exams, it was quite straightforward because we basically just had to memorise a few processes and adapt it based on the context (such as photosynthesis almost always came up for cells, just memorise the process and write that. Also meiosis for genetic variation, and gene expression papers were almost always the exact same overall). Is there anything similar like that in this paper? Like a specific process that comes up almost every year that I can memorise?

P.s ik it seems like a lazy method but ive been sick all week and just need to clutch for the mocks😭🙏

Im a year 11 Tekura student and my studying has been a bit everywhere due to my dad passing away a few months ago. I flat out cannot do one of my science mocks and im not feeling confident in anywhere but english. I can probably haul ass in time for actual exams, but im not feeling great about mocks.

we js moved here in nzl 3 months ago and i started school 2 weeks left before term 3 which was in june. im from southeast asia so i absolutely have no idea, not a single clue, of how things work here when it comes to education.

im taking psychology, english, biology, and stats & econ combined (all level 2). i currently have 3 credits as of now 💀 and yes i am aware of how many credits im supposed to have this year and for next year 😭😢

ive been doing okay for some of the internals / assessments but im SUPER DUPER nervous for the actual exams because i came here super late, i have a short amount of time to basically study and catch up to the stuffs they’ve been learning ESPECIALLY biology. i had the option to sit in for the cell exam only or do the genetic variation as well (i decided to do both since i have past knowledge about the two topics but not that much … was it a dumb decision?)

i feel like im gonna fail, i feel like my life will b over

Hello, I am just here to ask for some halls advice, with applications being open.

I am currently looking at Carrington as my num.1 and Salmond as my 3rd choice. However I am unsure on what to do for my 2nd choice. I want a hall thats closer due to some health problems, and that leans more academic. However a queer friendly space is also important to me. I was thinking Hayward but I know its smaller and might be a risky 2nd choice.

I’ve sat the CAA Reading exam twice already. Both times, I thought the exam was pretty easy, but I still ended up failing.

My next attempt is going to be my last one, so I’ve been practising every day. If I don’t pass this time, I’ll have to spend another whole year studying.

The CAA Reading exam is really important to me because if I pass it, I’ll be able to get my NCEA certificate. I’ve already passed everything else except CAA Reading.

I’d really appreciate any tips or advice from anyone who has taken the exam, especially if you struggled with it at first. What helped you improve your reading skills or prepare for the exam?

I have mocks in week 8 and 9 and I somehow need to learn the following

2.6 Algebra
2.7 Calc (starting to understand it’s just one idea applied to everything)

Genetic variation (just need a refresh)

Organic chemistry(also need a refresh but like a massive one)

Mechanics (I’m fried for this)
Some of electromagnetism

And English, I’m doing 2 familiar text instead of 1 familiar and 1 unfamiliar (barley know anything about both)

People have high expectations from me and I have been slacking for the last 5 weeks. Does ANYONE know what to do because I also promised myself I would do real well this year on derives grades. I learn stuff fast I just need to understand the core concept and then I start excelling.

Do you think taking a gap year after graduating high school this year will be worth it? I already know what I want to study when I go to uni, but I want a year to save money and travel overseas. I’ve been stuck on this for a while and I’m leaning more towards a gap year. I have applied for uni’s tho just in case I do want to go next year. But I’m still deciding 😭😭😭 any advice? Or if anyone has taken a gap year to do this let me know your experiences!!

hey, I need help for chemistry level 2, I have not been paying attention for the last 7 months of school and I have no idea of what going on in class, I don't know where to start and I just feel overwhelmed and I need help. I have no basic grasp of any level 2 chemistry concept. If you can help me form a plan that would be great.

I'm doing a dual Cambridge and NCEA course for math this year, compacted into one class.

We haven't really done coverage for our two NCEA papers because our teacher is confident in us all getting excellences, but I don't know what's in either of the papers other than I think one is a stats paper.

Look, it might be stupid for me to say but I need some advice out there and how to get my assessments sorted.

I am Year 11 student and I have passed all of my CAAs. I also want to take Level 2 English for next year to get more UE credits. However I failed my first internal (and I resubbed but submitted late)*. Now I failed my 2nd one. But luckily, i got a chance to resub and I'm waiting for the result; so I can pass as my first 5 credits from English.

Gosh, and my derived exams are coming up for next two weeks. I am focusing on passing English because I dont want to end up in English Digital which it has few UE credits (but also I have to take Apparently, some of the external exams sounded complicated, so I have to revise soon. But I don't know where to start, basically.

*(When I got my result from my first internal, I failed. However, because I was graded as "F2", I have to resub WITHIN 2 DAYS and which it was not fair. I finished it up to the end of the last day of English. But I forgot to submitted. For weeks later (around week 7 or 8), I submitted late since I'm busy for my milestones and my preparation in Numeracy. My English Teacher was leaving school, so I have to submit for them to mark it. Now I am still waiting my first one alongside with my 2nd one. And I think, I should ask the head faculty if they have my first resubbed work given by my previous teacher.)*

What is the best way to maximise studying to get dux, I would say I am a high achiever but experience lot of self doubt, how is dux awarded and I have been trying hard all year!
