Discussion DARK
I don’t believe a single person who claims they understood what was going on in season 3 of Dark.
At this point, I don’t know what year it is, what universe I’m in, or wth is going on. I’m lost. I’m exhausted. And I’m ready for this absolute time-traveling madness to END 🤣

I have always felt that season 3 probably could have been broken up into 2 seasons, it felt rushed,(to me anyways)! I have watched it a handful of times because there was so much to take it! Either way, a great series!

Wow, respect! I can’t see myself sitting through this show again, but in all fairness I don’t gravitate towards this genre at all. I went for it because of the reviews and I was open ti watching something different

I found it helpful to watch it with a friend! One episode a night and discuss! Its a lot! We watched "glitch" after. Had a "Netflix club" for a little with there haha

I imagine this is the experience of new viewers, and it is understandable if you binge the show. But as someone who studied the f out of the first two seasons before the last one was released, believe me, I was ready lol.
When the last season released I activated more neurons than for my final exam and analyzed every frame by frame. That is how obsessed I was with the show back then. Really enjoyed that watch, I wish everyone gets that feeling when they fully understand the whole story.

Season 3 is all about fulfilling those self-fulfilling prophecies/fate/consequences. The final 2 episodes is when the show actually resolving everything.

Every episode helps. Please don't give up. It does focus in, I promise.
I just finished it two days ago and I am so legitimately sad it's over. It is so airtight and perfect and brilliant.

I loved the first two seasons, but S3 was quite a let-down for me. Very complicated, story wasn't as good, felt like a bunch of padding and same conversations happening over and over. The last episode was brilliant, but the rest of the season was eh...
Still a top-tier show, regardless. Hard to recommend to anyone, tho. Took me YEARS to get through the first season.

Season 3 was a mess and brought the show from a 9/10 down to a 5-6/10 for me. Season 2 was easily a 10/10.

I don’t understand it either. I finished it out just because I wanted to see where it was going and I was even more confused. Everyone says to not watch the English dubbed version because it doesn’t translate properly, so maybe that’s why I didn’t enjoy it so much

I watched the sub version and I felt like I pretty much understood everything, especially the ending since it explains and wraps everything up pretty clearly.

When I watched it years ago, there were some German fan sites that had some pretty good photo poster boards that connected all the people’s names and faces and in what timeline they were in. I would watch the show with that open on my laptop so that I could continue to go back-and-forth and see who was who. That helped me understand the show pretty well.

I don’t think it’s that difficult to understand, you just need to pay attention to who is who and from when etc….. ok it’s pretty tricky to follow…..

The finishing touches to keep the knot of time looping were thwarted by universe 1s white devil after she discovered the OG universe. In 1986 tannhous created a time machine to go back 33 years to save his family. Og universe then does some weird implosion suffering a loop while two new universes are created with 2 different outcomes, Jonas and Martha. She then discovers that Adam and Eve are each keeping the loop going for their own seperate wants. That if they were to travel together, they'd end up in the third world. So she grabs the fresh 2 from the apocalypse because they arent too far gone to go to the caves at the og world right when tannhous activates the time machine. While they do this, she goes and talks sense to Adam when he notices there is a lapse in the loop. He goes and makes up with eve. 86 OG world has imploded and opened a 5th(?) Dimension for Jonas and Martha. They somehow seen each other as kids and this is the only time its mentioned..interstellar motives..w/e. They eventually find each other and jonas click the ball to go back 33 years to end up stopping the tannhous family from their original fate. Thus straightening the universe out and them slowly ceasing to exist.

I didn’t even finish the third season. I absolutely loved the first two and was so disappointed with the third. It was also too hard to follow to keep my interest.

I’ve watched this entire series twice! I’m sorry that you don’t believe it but I understood it the first time I watched and enjoyed it just as much the second time because it had been a long time since seeing it. I love shows that make you think.

Wait until you arrive to that one episode where they switch to another time more or less each scene. Probably they were forced to rush forward since there were not many episodes left.
Dark is a show I watched multiple times and still discovered new things I didn’t notice before.

It was a great show but fell victim to the time travel plot device. There are only so many ways to end a time travel story. If you haven't finished season 3 yet, you'll understand when you do

Because people are saying that season 3 is confusing. And personally I find that shows do tend to get worse in future seasons. What I'm asking is would it be a big undersolved cliffhanger to end at season 2.

Didnt they have a website where you can click on whatever episode you're on? Its specifically designed so there's no spoilers from future episodes but it deftly ties characters and the actual year so you follow whats happening
