Gonna be honest, it's very common to have scheduling done based on seniority. You can always have a conversation about how you'd prefer certain things but ultimately there's a good chance that everyone wants the same thing and it's hard to accommodate everyone.

keep the conversation neutral and specific. i have noticed my requests schedules have not been accommodated lately can you help me understand how requests are being prioritized? gives your manager room to explain without creating conflict.
