Yes I genuinely can't, and I've lived a similar situation. I've suffered for years and only just a year and a half ago began to feel better yet, when I saw videos like this I never thought about money. I saw a happy and wholesome family and it gave me a purpose to keep going.
That's because you maintained a positive outlook on life, these miserable fucks threw that right out the window, only thing driving them is their hatred.
I'm not punching down on people who have it worse off lol I'm calling out miserable losers who seethe and make shit up about a couple based on one short video.
It's pathetic and it's sad, being poor or whatever is never an excuse to hate on those who have it better.
I eat dried beans instead of canned, I haven’t gotten the therapy I desperately need because it’s 90€/ session, and we keep our apartment at 14°c in the winter; blankets, sweaters, wool socks, fleece pants, and a bowl of lentil soup does the trick.
It’s a cool build. I’ve always preferred tent camping/ backpacking for the immersion in nature, but this seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do with your spending money- plus is means super cheap vacations and weekend getaways for the lifetime of the vehicle.
My aunt and uncle that have a massive NYC apartment plus a ski chalet in Jackson Hole plus a summer cottage in maine and who at one point owned a chateau in France and who regularly go on extravagant climbing vacations and sailing vacations in their private jet… they’re the problem.
Who would have thought that a system that breeds wealth accumulation at the upper echelons and causes extreme inequality wouldn't end up with resentment.

Make a post about how excited you are to do something and half the comments is fucking losers going “wah this hobby costs money” and berating the poster.
Something tells me most people commenting on this video are not going to bed hungry each day. If they are spending time complaining about a video seems like energy that could be better spent elsewhere.

I don't see rich people living their best lives, here I see a happy and wholesome family with both parents seemingly having a loving relationship. I've been miserable, I have Epilepsy, lost my drivers license so I had to move home to commute. I've suffered from lonliness, depression, malnourisment, insomnia and social anxiety, and these videos gave me a purpose, an end goal and reason to keep going. Not to be rich, but to have a happy and wholesome family and friend circle. I use the word bastard fluidliy, so I'm not gonna argue against that

Because for example in Germany you have specific car tire sizes you can install on your car - you can't just slap anything there willy nilly. I can imagine having a full blown shower and shit being illegal just on the basis of adding a fuckton of flying projectiles when you're in a crash or something.

It is very cool, i like seeing videos of people converting old trucks or buses into living space, however the whole "influencer" thing has now started a trend and they thrust it into peoples faces a little more and hope they get views to keep going and pay for their lifestyle.
Chances are they make a couple videos and then stop. Sell the van, sart a new acccount on a boat.

Rich people don't do all the work themselves ffs. They pay people to do it for them. These are people with a unique set of skills and they built something awesome.
How do you know they built it? It's all edited to show action shots and finish shots, but no actual work. They could easily pay a contractor and hop in to hold up cabinetry then take the after shot, which I would not be surprised if they did this here.
Do they? Or do they pay someone else and do tiny little action shots for the gram? Either way, they don't work and have infinite funds to make it work and will call a contractor if they get stuck. It's not next level. They literally cannot fail. By your logic every RV is next level.
The problem is that these "builds" are a genera now. They are all over and these people do it all with brand new custom everything. The dirtbags who I was friends with lived out of shit like a Geo Metro with all of the seats removed and showered once a week at my apartment because he was my clbong buddy. These people are cosplayers acting like the real thing, and it is frankly kind of gross.
No it isn't their job. You clearly have no idea what it actually takes to get modifications like this through a government approval process for sale. At minimum you have to fully build and crash two vehicles just to get it past the NHSB. Then there are all sorts of other state and national certs you need for builds like this. They built this for social media.
You can also go to their YouTube and see they have done this 6x and sell plans and have a business email you can contact them on to buy one. So obviously its their job…..
A week is fine, but that's what makes it a rich people secondary living space thing, a luxury. If anything the main target demographic for these are not the rich but for the utah homeless whitetrash living in trailerparks. It's ridiculous to live in such cramped spaces for long period, especially with "family" as they are advertising. It would otherwise be alright for a single individual living.
they could also just be upper middle class, which is not the enemy. there's people who have more money than they could possibly ever spend in a single life time, a couple modifying a van is not part of the system of exploitong the labor of others for absurd wealth
People should be way more mad about the ultra billionaires and way less mad about wealthy people who do something cool like build an awesome van to spend time with their family.
I'd be less annoyed with it if they didn't call it a "home". I don't believe for a minute that these are people that are gonna live out of a car. And really I just hate people plugging "tiny homes" or "van life" as opposed to "maybe our current distribution of wealth is completely fucked and more people should be angry about it."
And they will always say they don't hate the rich, they hate the one percent, but ultimately anyone with more money than them is the enemy- as seen here.
I can admit I’m salty that this is passed off as a “home” when these people who built all this in a specially outfitted shop on a van that’s easily 100k with no mods and they certainly have no intention of actually living in it, that’s what their expensive home in a hcol city is for. So yeah I’m salty.
Even then though, this looks like every other mb van refit I’ve ever seen. They made it into a small rv while flashing generational wealth on a hobby item that isn’t novel in any way, shape or form at this point. Should we be impressed?
If they had hand painted a cool mural or there was even one unique feature, you’d probably see a few more supportive comments. But there wasn’t. It’s a soulless project for what look to be soulless folks of privilege. Good for them I guess, can’t wait to see their trip to stay in an a-frame luxury cabin while on their family ski trip to the alps or their glamping trips to gasp the same places everyone else takes their luxury “we’re roughing it” vehicles to (PNW forests, Utah deserts, etc.)
People complain no matter what. “This economy” I get it’s frustrating sometimes but it’s all about priorities. Mainly WHERE you live. If you get out of big cities, a lot of their frustrations are eliminated. Like housing. Look at a house in craptastic NJ then look at in SC “oh but then I’d have to live in SC”. Yea you’ve never been to SC then. Beautiful state and nice people. Plenty of homes for $100k and tons of solid jobs. Continental is BEGGING people in my town to work with $10k sign bonus and starting salary of $50k.
All comes down to priorities. Give me 10 min looking at anyone’s bank account and I’ll tell you their problem. The reason you’re poor isn’t because rich people exist. Do they have it easier? Sure, but it’s not what keeps you poor.
