Yeah, the van itself seems somewhat reasonable. It's the garage that gives "generational wealth".
But hot damn, we really have a toxic crab bucket mentality where everyone who is 6 to 7 figures rich is portrayed as the enemy while there are people running around with 12 figures.

Who cares who they vote for? The people aren't the problem, it's the fact that money dominates our politics and controls what policies are enacted. Democrats also are favorable to corporations and subsequently the rich, that's the fucking point
That's what I'm saying. Like for what this serves, it can essentially be a domicile, and that's worth all of the $75k or whatever it is. That's an easy enough loan for a vehicle and home
That's what happens when inequality gets so bad. You probably don't live next to Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos. You might live near a dentist with a 3 million dollar house on 6 acres. And it's easy to be mad at that guy when he buys a new Porsche GT3RS. Because fuck man you could've paid off your house with that much money.
I have to constantly stop myself and my friends from calling those people "rich". They're a lot better off than us but on the wealth scale they're right next door and Elon is 1000 miles away.
And yet he still sits far, far closer to the lower 99% than to the top 0.1%. If the poorest person on earth is the base of Mount Everest and Elon Musk is the top, that Dentist is like 50 paces from the bottom. And yeah, that gap can still feel massive when you're struggling to survive. They are still worlds apart. But that dentist is not the one furthering wealth inequality and siphoning off the worlds wealth.
You can own a 3 million dollar house, 6 acres and a gt3rs without being in the 1%.
Top 1% is $800k yearly income. The house, land and car in many areas can be afforded at less than half that (a quarter of that in some areas of the US!). Yes it's a lot of money, but it's around top 5%-10% depending on your local land costs.
You have to make income on order to pay income tax. It's progressive, so if you are making enough that income tax is an issue that's a good problem to have.

I understand things are rough now but you're really barking at the wrong tree here. This camper van thingy isn't something that can only be done by the super rich yet you're lashing out at them. You feeling upset from a nothing burger because your situation is shitty is such a sad way of living a life.
Of-course my quarrel isn't with these specific people and their van.
I am simply tired of barely living, constant job rejections, and scavenging for food just to make it to the end of the month.
At this point it's simply seeing others with, what I used to consider, "Basic things I though I would be able to own"

Use critical thinking? My guy, dude is getting jealous and emotional about seeing a camper van, someone should maybe employ critical thinking and instead of feeling sorry for themselves, learn to handle seeing people who can afford somewhat nice things.
Yeah, I guess me overcoming my chronic illness, Multiple Sclerosis, while balancing mental health from abusive relationships, and un-medicated ADHD (can't afford it) all while trying to finish my Master degree in genetics wasn't be trying hard enough.
Maybe instead of 400+ CV send over a years time, wasn't enough either, and i should have aimed for 1000+CV!
Because people want an excuse for why they don’t have everything without putting any work into it. You see the same comments anytime somebody gets in good shape. People say oh the only reason they can do that is if they’re rich. The only reason you can live in a van and fix it up is if you’re rich. Nope actually you could do it too. All you have to do is invest years of your time, energy, focus, and resources into the goal and then you’ll be able to have it.
They build those vans for their job. Each one of those vans can go for like 80-120k. They look to be living in a rural area. If they make even 20-30 of those a year they can absolutely afford to live where they are and obtain that garage
