Fort was not notified the government was seeking the records until mid-July, when government lawyers produced them to her lawyers. Fort’s lawyers wrote in a filing this week they were “stunned” to see the government had unilaterally been able to obtain a log of her communications after a judge had warned them about obtaining records about a journalist.

“That’s very concerning because the information demanded can help the government uncover a journalist’s confidential sources,” Vogus said.

In a statement, T-Mobile did not address why it turned over the information.

I've never tried the at&t network before & wanted to know what my options are to test it. Ive read they have the smallest 5g network & want to see if that's true in my area. Which of these options would be the best choice?

In rural west TN. Currently paying $285/ month for 2 unlimited phones and tablet. No service between work and home. Barelyany at home or work [have to be on wifi] what's the best options? Id like to have unlimited on tablet but can throttle back phones since they are mostly on wifi

As a result of the whole thing going on with good2go, I switched to H2o wireless. Last Thursday my new sim card arrived and I followed the steps to activate it and transfer my number. Unsurprisingly, I still have no service whatsoever. H2o customer service says they're waiting on good2go to release my number, and good2go has no customer service whatsoever. H2o says there's nothing they can do to help me.

Has anyone else had this happen? What should I do besides file a complaint with the FCC?

I'm not a high data user and "priority" data isn't all that important...not sure what TMobile 50gb t-sat data priority is, sorta just grabbing that for the starlink data that I'll probably never use 99% of the time. Coming off one year with a discounted boost mobile pixel 10 with $62 a month premium plan with only 50gb high speed so my stack seems reasonably priced.

I am thinking of joining total or US Mobile tonight, my question is ill be bringing 3 phones over I know the 20 deal is just for one line but I can still add the other to my account im guessing the other two lines will be at full price also assuming you can't mix and match after doing math 3 line with us mobile would be 74 what would three lines with total be? would I actually save money bringing 3 lines to us mobile?

I recently got a new job that doesn't offer WiFi and I'm using a ton of data. I'm currently on Mint. I went from the 6 GB $15 annual plan to the 3 month 17 GB one. I have a feeling I'm going to exceed that one as well. I don't have extra money to up my plan again. Once my 3 months is over, I'm switching.

I'm needing either a T-Mobile or Verizon MVNO that is paid monthly. I saw an ad for Total Wireless that's $20/mo for unlimited. How is Total's customer service and/or reliability? Are they easy to port your number into?Thanks!

I'm currently on T-Mobile. I'm on an S23 ultra that I own outright. I'd love some data and the ability to call home while I'm out of the country. I don't want to pay $50 for 10 days of international roaming when it sure looks like I can get a month of service from one of the discount carriers and just turn on an additional number instead.

I’m considering leaving Google Fi to join US Mobile Warp Starter since they are grandfathering QCI8.

Currently have 5 months left of the 50% off promo for the cost right now is ~$50 a month for 3 lines.

I may drop one line when moving to US Mobile so I would be paying the same $50 a month.

I’m in the Orlando area and Verizon usually has better speed than T-Mobile but they are pretty close. T-Mobile does cut out in rural areas when I drive up to Palatka at times.

US Mobile is also improving LightSpeed to have same priority as Google Fi(this may be on their premium plan) of I would want to switch network and plan in the future.

What would you guys do in this situation?

My older mom has been using a tracphone (as a backup) for years. She just keeps it in her car incase she forgets her reg cell phone which isn’t too often.

For years she’s been buying the prepaid tracphone card $20/3 months at Walmart 3 as she likes to just pay cash and have me load it.
Almost 3 months ago she bought the card like usual and it wouldn’t load, had to call and was told they don’t use that card anymore, and I’d have to go through website next time?? (Then why still selling in the stores?).
Her 3 months is almost up, tracphone website is absolute crap with errors and freezing every click. I can’t even find a similar plan they said maybe a $25/3 month one but didn’t seem to know. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is there a similar costing manual reloadable plan that comes to around $20 for 3 months.
It stinks switching bc she’s accumulated 1400 Minutes, and 1400 text messages with rollover over the years.

I have an unlimited cell phone plan but it has hotspot limit. I bypassed this limit with apps and now using it on my pc. But I have stability problems in my home and phone really gets hot. So my plan is buying a 4g router and put my SIM card to it. I now how to change TTL values to trick telecommunication companies but do they also check IMEI numbers? I don't want to change IMEI number too because it is a prison penalty in my country. Does anyone use this method? Or similar experience with routers and limited hotspot plans?

I’m not sure if others have faced this issue, but I thought to share in case someone else seeks a workaround to make their unlimited talk and text RedPocket $30/year eBay plan always route calls and texts over a secondary data SIM on iPhone. By default, the GSMA network appears to not have the "Network Selection" option visible on iPhone, which would allow you to manually switch networks and exclusively use another SIM for its connection at all times. With this workaround, you can make calls on the RedPocket SIM using the data of the secondary and continue to stay connected. 

This works with a physical SIM card; I haven't tried to use this with the eSIM variant, so if someone tries this with the eSIM, let us know if it works!

On RedPocket desktop website: 

1. Sign in and click "My Account."
2. Select "My Service" and then click "Roaming" in the side pane.
3. In the box at the top, select whatever country. I selected "England," but I don't think it matters.
4. The page should refresh or a popup will say "It's enabled."

On iPhone:

1. Restart your phone.
2. Go to Settings, then Cellular, then select your RedPocket SIM.
3. If the "Network Selection" option doesn't immediately show up, toggle off "Turn On This Line."
4. Re-enable the line after a few seconds, and the "Network Selection" option should now be visible, allowing you to turn off automatic selection.
5. After selecting another network that is not RedPocket, you will note that the signal bars will show no signal. That means it's working!

Note that you must have Wi-Fi Calling enabled before this will work. From what I know, Wi-Fi Calling must be enabled in the US before traveling if that's your purpose for enabling this. When you see "RedPocket using Cellular Data" in Control Center when not connected to Wi-Fi, that means you're using the data from the secondary SIM to simulate a Wi-Fi network for the RedPocket SIM to route all traffic through.

I have no idea how long this setting will persist, as I'm not sure when/if the RedPocket website turns off the special "Roaming" selection you made after a certain time period. I'll update and let y'all know in the future if that's the case. Have fun making calls and staying connected!

There are still many parts of the country where tmobile roams on AT&T. Mint and Metro have access but other MVNO’s do not. Given that lexvor has a new carrier bundle for TMO wholesale I was wondering if anyone has been able to test if they get domestic roaming access. Thanks!

I activated a byo total wireless $20 plan with an unlocked phone on esim. I find it interesting that locked phones can be purchased outright at a Walmart without a plan. And I'm curious if i buy a total wireless locked phone from Walmart could I swap to it? For example the total wireless moto 5g 2025 $39 from Walmart

My wife has been on Life Wireless for about 3 years now, the only thing that bothers her is she has to call in to listen to her voicemail's. She would rather have it where it shows up as a notification on android and when tapping it, it shows up on the phone app under voicemail tab and you can just "tap" to play the voice message.

Wondering if any lifeline service out there provides visual voicemail or do they all just resort to the "call in, punch in your password/pin, and then listen"?

ive considered getting Google Fi but I dont know how I feel about it.
