They don't just show if there's a platform there, they also show if the drop to the platform would be fatal.
If the prism stone lands and stays in place you can survive the drop, though you might take damage. If the stone shatters it should be a fatal (unless it's a close call and you've got some buffs that reduce fall damage).

Bad idea
1) you need specialized training to have the muscles to not be badly injured when you hit at those speeds
2) you need lots of training to have the perfect form to properly absorb the impact
3) loose clothing is not good
4) you are going to go DEEP with a fast clean entry. Deep enough you need to probably have a scuba diver scope out the bottom you are going to probably hit with a good bit of speed and make sure you dont inpale yourself or break some bones when you hit. (If you dont have a fast clean entry, you will have broken bones from the hit).

I don’t cliff dive anymore and even when I did I wasn’t stupid enough to try something this high, but in my experience you really don’t go as deep as one might assume.
I would always wear cheap sneakers to shield my feet from the impact because that hurts quite a bit, boardshorts, make sure to clench your butthole right before impact so you don’t get Nature’s Enema, and then as soon as you break the surface of the water you spread your arms and legs out like flaps on an airplane. You might go ten feet deep before you curl outward and come to a rest.

Watching some of the videos of high dives, they hit the bottom fairly hard even from like 20m, and a lot deeper than 10ft.

My anecdotal experience doesn’t agree with that, but I’ve never dove from higher than probably 50 feet.
The Olympic diving videos you’ve watched on the internet are in incredibly controlled environments and they’re being judged on perfect form, so there’s no need to slam on the brakes as soon as they hit the water, like you want to when you’re diving off a cliff into a lake you can’t see the bottom of.
If you stay in a pencil shape then yes, you’ll continue to cut through the water without loss of inertia, but that’s not ideal for a cliff dive

Form what I heard, its to increase the deacceleration time and decrease the compression stress on the spine. You gain a lot of speed every additional 10ft
But yes that needs to know what you will hit. Need to know exactly what is down there

So I have statements from two sources, one professional, one a claimed amateur with likely far less dive events and less knowledge of the physics (particularly the biomechanical physics). I wonder why I will trust what I "heard".
Judging this off the quality of each source.
and note - it should be presumed I am talking about a 42.5m dive. not a 15.5m dive. Deacceleration time likely needs tripled compared to a 50ft dive.

I’ve always wondered about the butthole thing. Couldn’t people just plug it with something before hopping down to prevent water from shooting in?

I mean your sphincter is plenty strong enough to keep water out, but the issue is that when you’re hitting the water from a freefall you have to consciously clench, because a butthole at rest is simply not prepared for that. I can’t speak for heights like the one in the video, but a standard sized cliff between 30-50ft is a manageable amount of pain, but it’s oddly violating.
Source: I was at a lake with my family this summer and my brother-in-law and I did a quick hop off a popular local cliff for a gas while we were out boating. Being retired, I forgot about the butthole rule.
I received the lake that day. Also wasn’t wearing shoes so my feet got a couple of pretty painful high fives.
EDIT: to try and respond to your actual question, I’d be genuinely afraid that whatever I plugged my south mouth with would be violently rocketed up into my colon by the impact. Emotional damage.

I used to dive up to 10m in competitions and also cliff dove quite a bit. You really don’t need a ton of clearance even from high dives. The pools are about 16 feet. When I would scope a cliff jump I would swim around first to understand if any under ledges or unknowns were around. Then jump some low level jumps(you can easily gauge a good guess if it will be enough clearance. The difficult part is the water entry. High dives in pools have a bubble system that helps the impact so if you mess up it doesn’t hurt you. Cliff jumps you have to make sure you stiff your arms and legs and don’t go flat foot. You can easily break stuff or rupture internals if you mess up.

Not a dive For it to be considered a dive you need to demonstrate these three things:
Controlled Body Rotation: The athlete must perform a recognized acrobatic rotation or designated turn (such as a 180-degree vertical twist or somersault) during the descent rather than a static or unstructured free-fall.
Specified Water Entry: The entry must adhere to strict safety alignment (typically feet-first for extreme heights over 20 meters to safely dissipate immense hydrodynamic impact forces).
Unaided Exit: The competitor must successfully surface and exit the water completely under their own power without physical assistance, ropes, or rescue towing from a support team.
This guy didn't do any of these. He had to be carried out instead of swimming out himself. TLDR, he can call it a jump but not a dive

This is also a jump, not dive.
No controlled body rotation and had to be carried out of the water instead of swimming unaided.

It would be a wrong sub if he landed head-first or legs-first like he was supposed to.
He seems to have landed sideways or, best case scenario, in a very weird pose. Which any person who has ever jumped into a pool can tell you isn't very pleasant when you're jumping into a pool, let alone from 40+ meter cliff.
