Camp Fleishmann

Hi. I was just looking at maps for some reason.

I went to boy scout camp there in the 1990s. Good times I had there. The lake, bears, hikes, canoeing.

I hadn't looked it up in years. I see its closed now, and from what I can see maybe one of the big fires from a few years ago?

Pretty sad to see.

Does anyone have any insight to that?

Was curious, seems like there was a last hurrah last year. Not sure if the Dixie for got them or what…

Thanks for the replies.

Yes after some more digging I did find some of that information.

Pretty sad deal. Was a cool place to spend a week for a desert rat.

I reached out to my old church where the Boy Scput Troop was based put of to see if they can find some old pictures. I don't recall me or my dad taking many. Will have to do so.e digging.

I got so many mosquito bites and about 2/3 of my merit badges from there.
