School systems for anxious kids

My husband and I are looking to move back up to Massachusetts after 10 years down in Virginia. We have two kids in elementary school (1st and 4th grade). The older child struggles with anxiety and socially. We would love to know ahead of time if any of the schools are known for bully behavior versus a focus on inclusivity. So far we have been looking at Peabody, Beverly, Wakefield and Reading…..and everywhere inbetween 🤪. We are getting a feel of the towns, but I’m having a hard time understanding the school systems and which would be the best fit. Any insights are helpful. Even if the insight is - it’s all good! Thank you!

Someone mentioned Belsito's tweets in the comments of another post and when I saw them, I was incredibly concerned

So there was a post about Belsito's fundraising having received max out donations from former Lockheed Martin Execs, Trump appointees, and many republicans. In the comments, someone posted about her tweets and I went digging and found this. These now deleted tweets are pretty messed up and personally, I don't know how you claim to a progressive and also say things like this. Also during this time, she was backing a pro-Israel republican? Richard Tisei?

I've seen her goonies on her commenting on everything trying to justify her actions and behavior, but there's no justifying it. I don't know how anyone who truly is a progressive is fine with supporting this. It feels like we are all falling for a wolve in sheep's clothing. I'll be questioning anyone who supports her at this point because it's literally all right in front of us.

I don't want Dan, Beccia, or Belsito to win. I dont trust any of these people to be able to represent us or push for the progressive values we need. People I love are under threat of ICE, there are kids with cancer whos parent can't afford the healthcare they need, housing costs are out of control.

I'm sad to see Lancaster go, but happy they did what they did to support another progressive running. I think I'll be voting for Tram Tuesday because of it. I also would like to shout out Beth Andres-Beck because they have been a great progressive in this race also.

Sorry to get mushy in the end there, but I just hope we hold people running for office accountable because this stuff is really crazy.

When Jamie Belsito talks about Ukraine, she sounds like JD Vance

Do not buy her progressive image. In her endorsement questionnaire for an organization called Massachusetts Peace Action, she was asked, "Do you support providing U.S. weapons for Ukraine, directly or through European intermediaries? Why or why not?" She responded, "Although I understood the initial request for military support by the Ukrainian government, I do not support continuing to provide U.S. weapons for Ukraine directly or through European intermediaries. As troop casualties in Ukraine near 2 million and U.S. spending on the war nears $130 billion through direct and indirect military support four years on, it is clear that the U.S. must shift focus to demand a ceasefire and negotiations to humanely end this conflict."

Massachusetts Peace Action, which did endorse her, has repeatedly alleged that neo-Nazis carry heavy influence in Ukraine (whose president is Jewish!) and has blamed Obama and Biden for rejecting peace agreements that supposedly could have kept Ukraine together.

By contrast, American and other Western support -- without a single combat boot on the ground -- has enabled Ukraine to maintain its sovereignty and uphold the rights of its people in the face of brutal invasion. The only winner from an end to support for Ukraine would be Vladimir Putin. If Jamie Belsito were truly progressive, she would not parrot the radical right's preferred narrative on Europe's worst war since World War II.

A vote for Jamie Belsito in MA-06 is a vote for Vladimir Putin and JD Vance.

In Search of Boxing Coach

I'm a complete beginner interested in learning boxing and would like some private coaching. Ideally someone who'd be willing to come to me (in Beverly) during the daytime. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I'm not yet looking to jump into group classes at boxing gyms, but I am also new to the area and don't know all the gyms.

Dog friendly apartment hunt!

My mother lives in Colorado and is seeking a room or a small apartment for 6-months to a year, in or near Beverly. She's a realtor who intends to work in the greater Boston area while being closer to us and her grand kid.

She's quiet, works from home and out and about, and is willing to share a communal space for the right fit.

She has a very gentle, kind, large older dog (12-13 years old) who would be with her.

She's interested in a place starting mid-late September or in October.

Anyone have a place that comes to mind? Thanks!

I'm confused how Belsito is a progressive yet getting max out from Trump appointees and former Lockheed Martin Execs?

If Jamie is so progressive, why are former Trump appointees like James Byrne (also a former Lockheed Martin Exec) maxing out donations to Belsito? Also former republican State Senate Candidate Erin Calvin-Bacci who gave a large dollar donation? And like there's multiple other big name republicans that have donated to this run and her previous runs... concerningly.

I looked into her because someone said she was a progressive, but it looks like the only actual progressives are Beth Andres-Beck, Tram Nguyen, and Mariah Lancaster. Also she's a former Raytheon employee who backed a republican and said "well he's gay" as an excuse? I'm like so confused by all of this. It feels like a grift and I'm worried people are falling for it.

I’m feeling sick so I can’t use my 2 tickets to The Odyssey at the Jordan’s IMAX in Reading at 3pm TODAY. The showing is sold out.

Anyone want them? If you can Venmo me for them, great, but if not that’s ok too. I’d rather they just don't go to waste!

Does anyone have a loved one in memory care?

I believe I need to put a loved one in memory care that is a locked unit for SHORT TERM ONLY.. I toured a place today in the North Shore and I am absolutely traumatized, it is the most vile thing I’ve ever seen…. There was literal feces on the wall walls and the floor people were running around naked, people were fighting, and the nurses didn’t seem to care too much(almost like this was a normal every day thing ) I understand what memory here is but there must be somewhere better or are they all like this?

I think we should ask The Cabot to play the Rocky Horror Picture Show this weekend. I’ll bring the cards (for sorrow)
