It was given away free from the bank for opening an account. everyone in my family had one from the same bank. I (being the black sheep) had to find that exact clock with a black and silver case and green numbers instead of the wood-grain and red.

My dad gave me one after I complained that I couldn't wake up in the morning without an alarm at around 10. This was like 2005-6. When were these actually made? I assumed it was something he had for a long time.

I still use an early 2000s version of it. I do have its predecessor (late 70s-early 80s), the green 8 segment display version on a shelf. Interestingly, it is a GE as well.

I had it for years until one of the less on several of the digits stopped working.

Then it went into the shop for the radio only. It was later replaced by the old Bose radio which is still in use.

I definitely had a alarm clock not this particular model but I do remember this one the last alarm clock i had still have it but I dont use it anymore plays cds with a am/fm stereo tuner sounds pretty good for a alarm clock

I woke up recently because the neighbors digital alarm clock was ringing and didn't stop. The daughter apparently slept through it. 

These things still exist?! And how tf do you keep sleeping right next to this noise from the depth of hell when it wakes me up with a wall in between?

I still have a similar one from Panasonic. It still works and I still use it when I absolutely have to get up. The alarm is so obnoxious that it is impossible to sleep through.
