Huh?? The power glove was released in the 80s and it was for the NES not a computer..

It looked cool as hell, but as a controller, it sucked.
You gotta take a look at Zeke's apartment in Sliver though; there's a Power Glove there.

I didn't get one until 2002, second-hand, and it was cool as shit then for what it was. Still have it. If the glove part hasn't fallen apart by now, I might pull it out and see what I can do with it with a computer nowadays.

It all comes down to choices. People actively chose our modern tech oligarchy by adopting intrusive products, neglecting tech literacy, and embracing a consumer-mindset. We can still choose differently.

Using past tech actually feels better than the hurdles of modern tech, because you don't need the internet, an account or an app to use the thing. The simplicity is what makes it nice. Put the thing in press play and it plays back. Modern experience is more like buy the thing put the stuff in press play, it boots up firmware update please connect to internet. So you do that --> sign up for a "brand name account" and sell your soul to connect to internet. It updates... We have renewed the terms and conditions please read and confirm... Ok then it plays your stuff... And I absolutely hate it.

I actually HAD a talkboy. It worked once and then something happened to the magnetic thing inside it and it couldn't record anything but weird frequencies.

Bring back colored transparent plastics for electronics!
Atomic purple , nuclear green, fire orange, ice blue!
These are the best colors we have lost to time

I had that recorder thing Kevin has. I miss that thing and wish I knew what happened to it.

That TalkBoy thing was so dumb. I knew one kid that actually had one, and he was all about it for like a week and then never talked about it again.

Now we live in a timeline where advanced tech feels boring, and it doesn't feel like we have a future.
