That is when they lost me. I am so old I had

Fortran: which led to
Basic: which led to Commodore 64
Which led to cartridges
Which led to floppy disks and FD player
Which led to IBM getting into the PC market
Which led to an unknown language and process becoming the standard,
Which led to all of us Amateurs being chocked out of the home computer market.

Had one of those... I think it was the Tandy 1000 SL,.

Monochrome monitor, no hard drive, 300 baud manual connect modem. Oh, and no Video Card/Adapter.

Took me 30 mins to download a picture. So we had ASCII pics!

Went outside, rode my town and country board....

/sigh

I really miss those times.

My first computer was a Radio Shack co-co color computer with cassette tape external storage.

I think my stepdad had a Tandy 1000EX??

I could only ever get a printing program to work on it, but I was a kid so that was fun. Printing on the dot matrix printer less so. Very noisy.

The next machine had Wolfenstein on it.

I used to test and repair the Sperry 1100/80s before they went to the customers.

Did you ever use pole and peek commands? I used them with an end function and loop to make a hypnosis program.
