What on God's green earth is happening here. how does this guy keep making the team?

6' 5". League minimum. Knows the playbook, thats actually a big deal im told. Other than that dont know.

that's the unholy trifecta of roster bubble survival right there. tall, cheap, and can remember where to line up. really makes you wonder what the other 90 guys were doing all camp if that's all it takes to stick around.

I've met a few football players throughout my many years, and have to say that lack of understanding things is a fairly common trait.

There are slim margins at top level. Guys on the practice squad were all star athletes in high school and college most likely. All insanely talented and athletic. Familiarity might just be what gets your foot in the door

I wonder how teams go about teaching players the playbook these days. Because give a player who is used to learning from textbooks for tests in highschool and college a playbook and he's going to be able to pick the offense/defense up. Give it to a dude who just skated by based on athletic ability and help of others and he's not going to be able to easily transfer the playbook to the playing field.

It's their own responsibility for sure but it's in the best interest of the team to be able to teach every player on the team, too.

Him making it over Lynn is weird but maybe they want to stash Lynn for a little while? (Better hope no one snags him.)

Wasn’t Lynn’s production mainly against 2s and 3s? Not saying McGregor is anything special, just asking the question. Lynn was also available late into camp, so can’t imagine he’s going anywhere.

This is my hope. He’s only been with the team like two weeks so they probably want to give him more time to marinate in the scheme.

Absolutely. I don't think it's egregious. I just think it's odd that Lynn played that well and was the one who got sent to the PT. I agree that Lynn was late to camp. This is a good way to get a better look at him while having someone with knowledge and experience on the roster

Lynn on the PS, hopefully it’s not long before the two get swapped around. I know who I’d rather see in the team on game day.

He’s a body that knows the play book. Kinda like how Nathan Shepard made the team like 4 years in a row. And didn’t make that big of an impact. But knew the system
