Have seen this bird a couple times over the last few weeks around the intersection of William Cutmore Boulevard/Lakeport Crescent/Hydrangea Gardens

Saw a car crashed an electricity pole this morning and electric cables are down across Cornwall road. All airbags on and the pole is completely destroyed. Driver seems fine as she was standing near her car on the phone. The electric cables are down on the road and blocking traffic on Cornwall Rd. We don’t have power in the house atm probably because of that. Anyone else facing a no power issue?

There was anothr thread asking about hidden gems with good bang for your bucks but that was all insane answers imo. I checked all of the top options and they're anywhere from $15 to $30 per person with a drink.

I'm just trying to eat food for cheap to get by.

Popeyes $5.99 for 2 tenders (or a wrap), fries, a biscuit and a drink

We moved to Canada this summer and are new to the Ontario school system. We have two kids, one starting Grade 2, one starting Kindergarten, and we'd really love for both of them to end up in French Immersion. The catch is FI doesn't start before Grade 2, so our younger one would need to start at a different school than our older one, at least for now.

We're ok with two schools/drop-offs (not ideal), they're each about 7-8 minutes away in opposite directions, so logistically it's manageable for us.

We're not a French-speaking family ourselves, just really want our kids to learn french. A few things we'd love input on:

• Anyone done this ? one kid starting FI in Grade 2 while the younger sibling starts elsewhere? How did it go?
• Any newcomer-specific advice for navigating the Ontario school system in general?

Would love to hear how this played out for other families, especially other non-French-speaking households who went the FI route.

Is there anyone who does web related work locally in Oakville? Everytime I search up things like this I get taken to agencies. I get on a call and they're charging $1000 a month or something outrageous not excluding set up fee. I just want to turn a business idea I have with my family into fruition. It's related to education or educating seniors on certain topics. All material is ready. At this point it may even be easier to learn myself or watch Youtube videos about it.
