If my bed was at a corner I'd happily take the corner side! Makes me feel safe and comfortable. It probably helps that I almost never leave the bed at night.
i don't have guests in my bed that are too disabled to get off by going down the end, no. if i did i guess i could take the wall side. but its never happened nor is it likely to happen since if they can't get out of bed they can't get up my steep old stairs
Pretty much every flat I've lived in thus far has tiny rooms with big living spaces. You make do with ya got. If I put mine in the center it becomes a BED-room not a mixed use bedroom. Like I wouldn't be able to fit anything else in there or climb over the bed to reach other parts. So a corner can be useful. It's more how you spend the space vs your needs. I can't afford a big room yet. Still job-hunting post first degree. I do however have guest rooms.

I feel like pushing it into a corner tells bed guests, you assume you won’t ever have a guest in bed.
