I mean, in order to have been a 10 year old during the holocaust, he’d have to be 91 years old.

Unless they’re bringing back Ian Mckellen long term, that just simply doesn’t work for the character.

They’ve also gone VERY young with the X-men casting so far and already recast Prof X so I doubt that very much. Assuming they want to keep similar ages between the two, Magneto would need to be in his 40s/50s and wouldn’t have been born decades after the Holocaust

He's being played by Ian McKellen who is 87, I don't think it's that strange to have him play a character a few years older then him.

The rub with that is that, as fantastic as McKellen is, he is far too old to be building a new franchise around.

And they’ve already recast Prof X, and it wouldn’t make sense to have best buds Charles and Erik be 40 years apart
