It was a moment of redemption. Very similar to the finale of Better Call Saul, he could’ve had them fooled and gotten 7yrs instead of that lifetime sentence but he was tired of continuing the facade and wanted to face the music

Uj/ I absolutely love this scene and moment and it does make me appreciate beer more. But Django(Jaimie Foxx's) acting is just so good. Like a little child trying candy for the first time. He's simply superb.
