Hi, we met yesterday! I’m Scar, and today I have a bland and modern outfit for you.

Right now I’m reading We by Yevgeny Zamyatin, written in 1920 but only allowed to be published in Soviet Russia in 1988. Of course, the USSR would officially dissolve in December of 1991.

We is about conformity within a totalitarian state. I highly recommend it. If you’re new to reading dystopia, this is not my first recommendation. It is not a difficult concept to grasp, but the way he identifies characters can make it a struggle to keep track.

I pretty much only read dystopian literature. If you need recommendations for dystopian novels, please hit me up! I have read all of the most well known novels and then some.

Mama says to put down your phone and read an article, a book, a chapter, a paragraph. Just read anything, because knowledge really is power.

Trying to roll a bit festive today. Sometimes ya just need to dress for a joy you're hoping for. I did this tie dye a few years ago. It feels a bit snug, but I like the colors. Maybe it has a future as two scarfs?

Thrifted torrid skort and sneaks. College backpack from 2009. Despite50 studs.

Trying to get back into my habit of dressing up when I go to Memorial Sloan Kettering appointments. My clothes and colors and outfits make me happy.

New outfit, TJMaxx bloomers & thrifted top. Hard to see, but cheap online sports bra exactly matches pants!

Gonna maybe wear this to eruv Rosh Hashanah , and gotta 'nother flowy bloomer ensemble for RH day services. I'll try to remember to post.
