Blocked at 100% monthly limit after using only $24

I just hit a wall with Monthly usage limit reached. Resets in 11 days with every model. But looking at my dashboard, I haven't actually exceeded any of my individual model limits.

It looks like the system is mistakenly adding up the individual usage percentage numbers of each model (43.3% + 43.2% + 13.5% = ~100%) and treating that sum as the total monthly cap percentage, completely locking me out.

Is anyone else seeing their total calculated this way ?, or is it just happening on my account

Pss, it is not a mistake. This is how this sub works – a quota includes all models. Some just "cost" more.

Yes I'm running into this same problem. I'm also very confused. The way they're calculating the quota is so confusing

It's bonkers.

Looks fine to me. You don't get a monthly for each model.

Shared pool, not per-model. Go's monthly allowance is one bucket across all models, so 43.3 + 43.2 + 13.5 = your whole pool, and once it's gone everything locks until reset. The dashboard shows the split, not separate limits. If the shared-pool lockout is what's biting you, the alternative is a plan with no pool at all: flat monthly, no windows, no per-model accounting. Disclosure, we run Entrim and our Model Plan is exactly that, so take it with that bias. Either way, budget per task, not per model.

that's how the plan is supposed to work, the pricing is designed so you need to either be a rocket scientist or use AI to figure it out

You have $60 usage in total. Did you think you had a separate quota per model?

I can't use any model now until the new cycle resets. So, if I spend $15 on GPT 5.6 Luna, that maxes out 100% of my overall monthly limit for all models, which prevents me from using DeepSeek, for example.

So, in reality, the Go plan works like this:

  • $15 of GPT Go, GLM, Kimi, etc.
  • OR $30 of DeepSeek Flash, Qwen 3.8 Flash, etc.
  • OR $60 for Qwen 3.7 Plus, Mimo 2.5, etc.

If you mix and match models, you burn through the shared limit much faster because of how the percentages add up. If I had known that, I would have only used DeepSeek Flash.

Dude, that's literally how most subscriptions work.

I get how subscriptions work, but OpenCode's UI makes it confusing. You yourself say the limit is $60 total when that's wrong too
that's basically like saying the limit is $480 just because Hy3 has that cap.

The other constant is that every subscription there is makes it as hard as possible to quantify easily how much usage you're actually getting for your money. Opencode is no exception, but it's not as opaque as say anthropic.

Ah, this one is tricky. I wrote a guide a bit on how to read these models/usage pools https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1w0wroi/comment/p6k4231/

The $60 dollar claim is a bit misleading, but it's more because of the way they present the data.

You have a $60 dollar pool of tokens between all the models.
Any model that is a $60 usage - token usage will match your expectation.
Any model that is $30 usage, there will be a non-linear doubling of the token usage compared to your expectations, and this continues with the $15 usage models as well.

So, you DO need to add up all the usage of the various models against your "$60" dollar pool, but also consider them more like percentages of that usage, rather than direct dollar.

Honestly - I think that's why a lot of providers are using the word "credits" instead of directly dollar usage.
