GLM 5.3 is completely free on TokenRouter
Not sure what data they store, but you get it with the full 1m token context window, max 8 requests per minute. The rate limit hasn't been too much of an issue for me since I use max reasoning though.

The intellectual property these companies are vacuuming up must be epic.

Lol who sends IP data to public APIs?? Must be dump startups

Literally everyone. It's like the cloud computing revolution. The gains and cost benefits are so high that the IP has no value if you can't move fast with it. So you move fast and use public inference endpoints.

Do you need a topped up account?

Yes, you do. 1 dollar is enough though.
UPD: some folks say it's no longer necessary to pay. I guess they changed it since yesterday

Any source for this? The blog post they made doesnt indicate any of this. Says its free to all even without payment method.

I signed up yesterday. It asked me to pay 1 USD to use the free model. Without payment I couldn't create an API key. Is it different now?

I was able to make a key just fine just now.
Also this is what their blog says:
GLM 5.3 is available at no cost on TokenRouter for one week from launch, through September 4. The promotion covers the full context window and is open to all accounts, new and existing, with no payment method or promotional code required. Standard pricing applies once the period concludes.

They changed it then. A bit disappointed because the promotion I followed didn't set any expiration date, so I was hoping for a month of free glm or so.

It's free, but as others have already said, it's quite slow. You also need a min. of 1 USD topped up.

I topped up $1, using it for my Hermes Agent. Free but slow. I don't mind for batch stuff.

Don't bother yourself... "Output token limit reachedThe reply was cut off; earlier output is preserved in the conversation. Send "continue" to let the model resume."

I heard about electronhub i dont remember exactly but it was either unlimited free with a limited number of models or it was extremely generous;
In a single month i could not even use it once. Literally. Because it was unreachable, busy etc. i literally paid for nothing.
