I had to let my baby boy go today. He was my best friend for nearly 10 years.

You were a great owner. The fact that you are here honoring your best friend is a testament to how much you loved him and how special you are to have given him a loving home. Not every cat is loved as much as he was. Know that you showed up for him every day and that he lived a great life because of you ❤️❤️ Never give up on love. You two are proof ❤️❤️

I can’t imagine what your feeling right now. My boy is only 3 and I get so scared that he’s gonna get sick and pass away after we had a scare with some inflamed intestines back in April. I compleltely broke down when that happened, sobbed in the shower for hours so I can’t imagine how you must feel right now. I hope you can affirm yourself in your care for him and that he was happy, safe, warm and fed and had water whenever he wanted it for nearly 10 years. That’s a stellar life to have as a cat, and some cats even with owners don’t get that experience. I hope you know that you were their person, and that they loved you very much, and now they get to go somewhere where they will be surrounded by friends and in my belief the Lord Jesus Christ. Whether you believe in an afterlife or not, I hope you can remember how happy your boy was for almost a decade, you gave him the best life you could and I’m sure he was happy with it. Take care of yourself in these troubling times, don’t let tragedy spiral into something worse.
