When will human class be nerfed?

The human class has been so OP for such a long time, at least since the iron age patch. Why the eff did mods make them even stronger with the industrial revolution patch? What’s the point if one class is just dominating all other classes? Boring for humans and unfair to other animals.

While there is a lot of bullshit and low quality trolling, human in game chats are sometimes actually useful and they can coordinate on quests, while animal chats are completely incomprehensible outside of some very basic instructions. Impossible to get other animals to help on non hunting quests for some reason. Why don’t mods clean up the animal chats?

They also have access to OP gear that other animals cannot equip and have imposable thumbs. Humans are very weak in 1v1 PvP but they rarely fight alone and unequipped anymore. I’ll admit it’s always fun to destroy humans in 1v1 PvP (or even multiple of them if they are unequipped) but just feels so unfair when they are able to equip long range weapons and snipe you before you can even get close to them. How is this fun for anybody anymore?

Devs usually let meta builds run for about 30 million patches before considering nerfing them with mass extinction events. The human build is unusually dominant though, so they may decide to balance the meta sooner. I think there’s been rumors that the [Artificial Intelligence] skill tree is designed to have human mains accidentally nerf themselves, though I’m not sure those are founded in any reality.

That's inaccurate. The mass extinction events have all been caused by ultra rare events in the geography/physics engine. The ones I read about in the patch notes are the Asteroid Extinction Event, caused by a very unlucky roll with a very large meteroid striking the soil and disabling the lighting/heating systems and killing most players, with a noteworthy exception being the underground [Mammals]. The other is the even earlier Oxygenation Extinction Event, which was caused by the players figuring the [Photosynthesis] trait, which as we all know is a simple crafting formula that creates [Sugar] as well as [Oxygen]. The players then abused the mechanic so much that the World Atmosphere became filled with [Oxygen], which was highly toxic back in that stage of the game development. All the players I talk to now have the default [Aerobic Breather] trait so it's not an issue to any of us now though.

wow man you should go ask around for some characters with [anaerobic] trait, they can be really versatile, in fact I think most of them are usually highly skilled but are very specialized for doing what they like. That trait is very op for certain tasks.

I really love [anaerobic] as a trait. It's so mysterious and ancient! But I have to say I don't encounter them much on the day to day, due to the atmosphere being full of [Oxygen] and them being really small. I am very happy that yeast has this trait for an example.

I think you are ignoring the beetle class - 25% of all known animal species are beetles. They've been around for hundreds of millions of years and survived several mass extinction events.

There's a lot of [Genetic Diversity] in the [Beetle] sect, but that has to do more with ennumerating species rather than how different they actually are from each other. The classifications for [Beetles] were based on if they look different from each other, because they were done before [DNA analysis] and [Quantitative biology] became a thing. A study suggested that there's more diversity among the [Flies] and [Bees/Wasps/Ants] sects than originally thought.

There are a bunch of nerfs primed and ready to go. Humans have generally been doing a good job of avoiding the triggers for the Nuclear Winter event, but their efforts to prevent the Global Warming event aren't coming together, so we may see a big change in the meta in the next few decades.

The Pandemic event was also the system attempting to balance the meta, so you can probably expect to see a few more of those going forward.

I always figured it was in preparation for an extraterrestrial encounter event or interplanetary species patch but the devs decided to do the AI one instead

Because all players are human?

OOC : Sub's rule 2 classify animals as NPCs

This is a ridiculously common misunderstanding of the game

I don't know why it has to be repeated. There are no devs. The human class can't be nerfed by magic. Some human players may change the meta and it may impact the play styles of the humans.

A new play style that becomes popular could make the game more enjoyable for non-human players however. This would require the economic and global political meta to change.

It can be nerfed by a pandemic random event

Considering how meta humans are, I don't think even a proper nerf would do much, but on the flipside there's so many dramas in almost all human clans every patch that I expect them to collapse in few updates, so that's something.

Well, the problem is that the internet and computer patch has made the knowledge trait effectively universal outside of the IQ or local server roll. As long as the earth server doesn't crash or a random extinction event, the human build will probably never go out of fashion

Humans have been being nerfed actually,

There’s been a debuff int growths, speed and mobility has been also been nerfed as humans uncapped the con stat. The hidden morale stat has also been plummeting for a decade now but especially in the last 6 years.

A social charisma debuff is effecting new all builds, and there is less synergy then ever with other human classes, these are more server based changes but they have been very significant in playstyle viability in certain regions.

Though this doesn’t seem to be a dev change it appears to be inflicted by the top players on the leader board to increase their score while griefing all other players in all servers, that aren’t on the leaderboard.

OP is just mad that their “perfect” horseshoe crab build hasn’t been updated in 400 million years. You picked this race buddy

We already have a few, namely one called "Hubris".

Its a time-delayed debuff that causes mistakes to compile without us noticing until the stack breaks.
