Hi all,
We’ve been removing posts promoting the recent “Paladins 2” fundraiser as quickly as they’re reported to us following an enormous amount of spam. However, given the sheer number being submitted, and the amount of trust some people appear willing to place in its creator, I felt a brief announcement was necessary.
As Killgoon has confirmed, the Paladins IP is not currently for sale, and any money donated to this project will not ultimately go towards a Paladins 2.
We’ve also identified several accounts which appear to be AI-operated repeatedly posting the promotional videos and leaving supportive comments beneath related posts. Whilst we’re not going to outright label the project a scam, there's no denying that the circumstances are certainly suspicious.
It’s clear that much of the support for this comes from a place of passion, and that many people simply want to see the IP continue. Personally, however, I don’t believe this project represents a realistic way of achieving that -- as much as I wish it did!
At the time of writing, the fundraiser is displaying “Suspended donations”, which the creator says is because they paused it following concerns from the community. They have nevertheless confirmed that existing donations are being retained.
The creator has stated that donors will be refunded if they have done “nothing serious” with the money by November. That condition is intentionally vague and should not be treated as a guarantee that donations will be returned. If you’ve already donated, I would strongly encourage you to review this information carefully and contact GoFundMe directly if you have concerns.
Automod has now been updated to remove links promoting this fundraiser. If there are attempts to circumvent this filter (as AI bots like to do...) then it will result in a permanent ban, so please don’t test the system.
There are plenty of meaningful ways you can still support Paladins. Continue playing the game, (re-)introduce your friends, create and share content, and organise/participate in community events a lá SEA Revival. Maintaining a visible and active community is the clearest way to demonstrate that we still care about this IP, not throwing your money at dubious projects making vague promises.
Best,
Callum & the r/Paladins mod team

Remember grinding for champions back in 2016? The evolution of Paladins is wild, and I can’t believe how far it’s come.

Is Smite 2 the only thing they are working on these days? What is the financial incentive for them simply maintaining the servers for paladins? seems like plenty of people are willing to buy the battlepass and whatnot so can anyone tell me what the deal with this game company is >:( also any word on if they will allow community servers once official support is over? The fact that there is only a PS4 version of the game makes me kinda sad that it probably won't be on next gen platforms at all

I use a switch pro controller on my laptop.
Most rounds i can play normally but sometimes the controller doesnt react.
It is still normally connected to my device and even paladins itself reconizes the controller because i can still get to the pause menu.
This bug happens in one match and after the match it starts reacting normally again.
Does anyone know a solution? Thank you

I know it has been a while, but I'm interested in the platinum of this game that i've spent hours and hours into it. Just reaching out if anyone is interested into doing a 5 squad to make it done to each one of us. Thanks.
My PSN ID is: Psychedelicasyy
Let me know so we can arrange a day and hour to get it done!

If you could introduce 6 different clash royale cards into paladins as a champion who would you have and what would their abilities be? This would high key be cool since clash royale is the only game that could match aesthetics with paladins as a PvP shooter😭

Heya all. I have a question I wanna discuss with you all.
Why did Paladins fall?
Let me explain first:
I always had a theory why Paladins did fall off compared to Overwatch which was and is based on my understanding of what "Peak Paladins" is or was.
But I discovered I'm actually wrong, at least if I analyse the steam charts.
So I'm an open beta player. And we all know that open beta was peak Paladins gameplay for many fans and that OB64 was a big turning point in the history of the game. But I want to go into depths and for me it was not only the open beta but also the year 2018, so actually the phase after the most criticised patch.
All those great events, absolutely iconic skins, so much variety in game modes and much more.
I always thought that Paladins did overcome the critical update and that the events were actually attracting more players and that the shortage of those later on was a major cause for the games final dying stage.
The steam charts tell a different story though. Most people seemed to play in-between the events and I can't find a solid pattern that explains the stats.
So maybe you have an idea.
So while Paladins had it's gameplay/balance peak arguably in its beta before OB64 (more movement, more options), I also like to remember my favourite events a lot and in my opinion Dark Tides was the best overall.
The new dark pirate themed map, the release in autumn close to Halloween/October, the grind to get all the coins from the Vivian minions that spawned in random games. Just awesome.
But for some reason the player stats dropped around those events.
Let's check the steam charts. So we have beautiful numbers until mid 2017. Then we saw a rapid decline because of critical updates that peaked in OB64.
And while it's purely logical that quite a few players probably didn't return afterwards, it wasn't really dying at this point.
The biggest crash happened in february 2018 but the numbers began to rise again until summer 2018.
August and september/october mark the months of the greatest events in my opinion but we got another huge crash here which makes no sense to me. And I think that late 2018 was actually the point of no return. Early 2019 peak players did fall below 25000 and there wasn't a real recovery since then.
So while I thought that the lack of variety was a major cause I now think that this is not the entire picture cause the events couldn't catch new and old players like they did catch me which actually surprises me a lot.
If I try to draw a bigger picture I think that OB64 started the cascade but I can't really explain what happened late 2018 because for me it was the second peak phase of the game.
So what do you think?
Btw. my solution, even today, would be to rewind the most critical changes, keeping the skins and characters and restart the events. I would maybe even use the old events in rotation at the beginning. We are close to october again so I would start with Dark Tides. I would bring back cauterize and the old cards, I would rebuild the movement talents (BK, Maeve for example, to allow more outstanding gameplay) and actually also bring back the top play even though a lot seemed to hate it but enabling the option to skip it.
So I would combine the variety and events from 2018 with battlepasses with old beloved game mechanics.
I would also ask for community artworks and skins again. I would let the community decide and get seasonal fitting themes back into the game.
Because it's a matter of cost I can't start with too much new stuff, that's why I would just the best of what was already in the game. I would also bring old gamemodes and maps back, always in rotation or I would introduce more bots at the beginning to get sufficient players while keeping the queue time low.
If the game recovers I would restart eSports. I don't know why this was stopped in the first place. You can do this stuff without spending too much money. There are sponsors and we can see on games like trackmania what single people can do and achieve.

Pretty much I used to play the shit out of paladins 5+ years ago, and every now and then try to hop on but every time I wait 15 mins then play against 5 bots with the same character. Is the game this dead in Oceania? Usually around times that the game should be more active, just checking if this is normal or I’m missing something. Suck to see this go unplayed down under

Hi, folks! Considering how successful August 9th was, could we maybe consider doing this sort of campaign every 2nd Sunday of the month, maybe?
I think it would be cool to make this sort of revival a monthly event to also capitalize possible new players. Does that makes sense to you all?

So I changed Vivian a bit, I wanted to have a serious yet beautiful look. Beauty hidden in plain sight. Tried my best to have that Disco Elysium style but it was too hard for me.
In the end I love it. Nice to give some attention to Vivian. Hope you guys like it.
