Discussion Was I right or wrong?

Post image

One of the bigger videos on 3 is extremely negative and there wasn't as big of a reaction to it as 2 had. I mean the biggest review is a sethtzeentach video. On steam the more recent reviews are "mixed." Personally, I liked it but ipl still hasn't been able to break out of obscurity sadly. Also, one of these guys is [deleted] and the other isn't... Not to brag or anything.

You honestly come off as incredibly insufferable. P3 was great. Genuinely as good as 2 in my eyes. Both are some of my favorite games of all time. I feel like its been successful for what it is and hopefully it ends up being successful enough for the artists behind it to profit and for Clara's route to get made.

P3 is the best time travel game ever made, a monumental step up from the previous games

As someone who thinks 2 is unironically the best game ever made, 3 was for sure a step down.
Writing, characterization, and tone were all peak as usual, but the gameplay was horrendously boring. It was more of a walking simulator than ever. The town management and doctor detective parts of the game were fun and I think the game should have focused on that because other than them it’s just walking from point A to point B. Infected and rioting districts are way too easy to manage and there’s almost no punishment for playing badly as long as you don’t die. I give it a 6.5 out of 10. Decent and worth playing if you like the series

You're extremely based and correct, especially on the best game of all time point, BUT I actually thought P3 wasn't enough of a walking sim. Because you, like, don't walk, you skip the districts. Patho CHD is the peak of walking sims, Patho 2 was even more nailbiting to me because they added sprinting and I always had a feeling I could get somewhere faster if I was smarter with resources. Patho 3 feels repetitive with the walking because it's all about repeating stuff, which gets tedious at a point, unfortunately, and that wouldn't work with the classic patho walking sim formula, which is a bummer to me

Why can't we just appreciate a game that isn't perfect...? Wasn't that kind of the point of Pathologic Classic? Why all this drama

Honestly as a fan mainly of the original. I think P3 is my favourite of the three. Yes it’s a lot more forgiving than the other games but it doesn’t have to be the same as the others to get a good story across. They wanted to make it its own game rather than remake the original or rehash the same structure of P2. IPL I think will always be obscure. And I think they want to keep it that way anyways. Otherwise they wouldn’t be able to make the art they want to make the way they want to make it. I think this one like the other games will become more of a hidden gem that might possibly become a niche cult classic later on.
