I have an HP Victus Windows 11 gaming laptop, and for a while I have been asking about a game that I am trying to play on my laptop. That game is an old game from 2003 called Delta Force Black Hawk Down from GOG games. The problems I have with the game are lagging and stuttering,especially when explosions happen in the game. I have tried using dgvoodoo2, I have also tried running the game in compatibility mode, and I have tried dx wrapper, but nothing was able to resolve my problem. I cannot figure out what is causing the lag and how to fix it, does anyone have any tips for me in order to resolve this issue, so that I can finally enjoy my game?

My wife had a Dell G3 15. It had a “hard drive not detected error” and would not boot
I tried about every fix I could find but nothing was working. Eventually took the cover off and I saw there is no HD. So I figured: oh. Some setting must have changed.
I went into bios and changed it from RAID to AHCI and… well, now it’s broke broke. It will boot to a dell logo and then get stuck there. If I hit F2 and F12, it says “preparing to load” but stays at about 30%. Tried ctrl+esc and the same thing happened.
Any advice?

I just reset my PC last week and for some reason now im having this problem.

I have been having problems with this for a long time and I accidentally found a fix! Hopefully it can work for everyone and if someone can figure out the "why" then maybe we can have a permanent solution since microsoft refuses to fix this.

1. Click the onedrive icon in the right side taskbar
2. It will show recently synced files. Click the blue link for the destination folder.
3. It works!!!

I don't know if this will work for anyone else, but I hope it does. And if it does, then please spread the word!

Edit: After testing more, there is a permanent fix!

1. File explorer options
   
2. View tab
   
3. Check box "Launch folder windows in a separate process"
   
4. Apply & OK

I use a pinned taskbar icon to launch file explorer. Hopefully this can help someone. Thank you.

I built the pc a little more than a year ago and I have had this problem pretty much since I built it and I did send it in where I bought the parts from but they couldn't find the problem since it happens so seldom. I have reseated the GPU, RAM and SSD plus some of the PSU cables.

It always happens when I play games like GTA 5, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Peak.

I finally got the crash recorded on HWinfo 64 but I couldn't find anything that looked like it could cause the crash.

Złożyłem komputer dwa tygodnie temu z następujących podzespołów

I mam następujący problem ,od początku kiedy złożyłem ten komputer ekran w zupełnie losowych momentach miga ,0,5 sekundy czarnego ekranu ,czasem jakieś dziwne obrazy ,nic się nie zawiesza nie freezuje ,poprostu jakby źle wygenerował kilka klatek ,dzieje się to w całkowicie losowych momentach ,czasem na pulpicie ,czasem podczas przeglądania internetu ,czasem podczas grania ,niezależnie od obciążenia .Probowalem chyba wszystkich sposobów znalezionych w internecie:
\-instalowałem starsze sterowniki nvidia ,starszy BIOS wgrywałem nawet
\-ponownie rozebrałem ten komputer ,wyjąłem cpu RAMy gpu ,ponownie osadziłem wszystko
\-zmieniałem kabel zasilający RTX’a
\-sprawdziłem dwa monitory ,2 kable hdmi ,2 display porty
\-spawrdzilem wszystkie porty w karcie graficznej
\-wyjąłem całkowicie kartę graficzną i podpiąłem pod płytę główną kabel DisplayPort
\-wyłączałem zintegrowaną grafikę w biosie
\-wyłączałem profil EXPO w BIOS
\-zmniejszałem hz
\-włączyłem HDR
\-Wyłączyłem g-sync
\-zmieniłem gniazdko zasilające
\-kupiłem podpórkę pod kartę graficzną
\-zmieniałem w BIOS adchigekture pcie z „auto” na gen 4
\-wyłączałem MPO w Windowsie
NIC TO NIE ZMIENIŁO

Oczywiście wszystko jest na gwarancji ,tylko nie wiem co odsyłać ,wszystko po kolei ?

Może ktoś się na tym dobrze zna i powie mi co można podejrzewać że jest zepsute a co można wykluczyć ?

Raczej kartę graficzną bym wykluczył skoro na zintegrowanej też mruga

So I’ve had my pc for a while now since 2019/2020 can’t remember exact year but this year March my cooler failed and I had to install a new cooler. My pc is also from pc specialist so I ordered a new one from them, after installing the new cooler my pc had been randomly freezing and restarting ever since then, I could be watching a movie and it’ll freeze or be idle and it will freeze. Ive done a couple of troubleshooting things like getting a new ssd, updating my bios (2025) f19 version, installing new chipsets, installing drivers again, stress test and a couple more. This never used to happen and only started I got the new cooler but also not to mention when they (pc specialist) went through my pc and check the logs/wvent viewer there were may problems that lead to numerous problems, they said the next step would be to try a more recent bios update and if that don’t work I’d have to return it for repairing which I can’t really do right now. I’m looking for all help I can get especially since I work from home

Help does anybody know how to check which hardware component or software/driver that failing or faulty ?

TEST

try lots of different AMD gpu driver version from 25.9.1 till the 26.8.1 and the stable one is 26.3.1 and 26.6.4 tho BSOD and DirectX error still there when playing Battlefield 1 and other games.

i already did Memtest86 and ram got 5 pass without any error. tried ram again in OCCT and no error. also test OCCT for 1 hour for each every component including Psu and Vram but found no error. tried Cinebench and no Cpu error.

did clean reinstall wifi driver lots of time. also tried clean install different version of Chipset driver and BSOD still happen. i did clean windows reinstall and still the same. all those BSOD happen randomly but my pc never crash when playing Dota 2. tho usbxhci and wifi/audio driver crash happened after Bios update. WHEA event 18 only happened once. but those error happened very random. one specific error never happen twice in a row. ive done everything.

everything in Bios setting is stock except i change Gpu PCIE speed to Gen3 instead of Gen4 and not install Armoury Crate. never test Furmark coz im scared it gonna kill my gpu

does EA Anticheat and EA app can produce those error? or maybe windows and mobo ? maybe SignalRGB messing with my ram? everything is new except for gpu, hdd and monitor. help , been dealing with this for almost 2 month

Ever since this new season came out I’ve been facing these problems where it wouldn’t launch and I’ve already tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and also verifying the integrity files but still no solution. Can anyone help me?

I had this gaming PC built for me and I’m not super knowledgeable so please bear with me.
I haven’t had any issues running games like 007 first light, battlefield 6, ready or not or starfield. Crimson desert did struggle but never crashed.

However when I played oblivion remastered and the new COD beta, everything ran fast and smooth but would randomly shut off my pc 10-15 minutes into gameplay. Even if I wasn’t in a game, just in a menu. I checked my windows event viewer and couldn’t find any issue or crashes so I used HW monitor and OCCT to stress test the system, check for temperature issues (suspected my PSU) etc. but from what I could understand I didn’t see any issues. OCCT ran for 5 minutes and the graphics card did reach 90c but not higher. Should I try running it for longer?

I also tried running COD in windowed mode and that seemed to help for a bit but still crashed while I was just in the main menu after about 20 minutes of gameplay.

Maybe not related but my wallpaper tends to disappear into a black screen pretty often but all my shortcuts and buttons still work. No other issues.

Anyway I’m at the end of my knowledge and experience and would love some feedback and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Can someone help me figure out what’s wrong with my PC? I’m getting random BSODs and random restarts, and I can’t figure out what’s causing them.

My PC specs:

• SSD: MSI M480 PRO 2TB

• Motherboard: ASUS X670E-A

• GPU: RTX 4090

• PSU: DeepCool PX1200G 1200W

• CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

I tested the system with OCCT, including stress tests, and everything seems fine. There are no obvious errors or crashes during the tests.

However, when I start playing Cyberpunk 2077, everything can look completely fine for about an hour, and then the PC suddenly restarts and boots back into Windows.

I’ve also experienced random BSODs and some strange Windows crashes. At one point, one of my SSDs was disappearing from Windows, so I suspected the SSD might be the problem.

I removed that SSD from the system and tested again, but I still experienced a random restart.

I also checked the GPU power cable and made sure it was properly connected.

What would be the most likely cause of this?

Could this be the motherboard, CPU, PSU, GPU, RAM, or something else?

OCCT doesn’t seem to reproduce the problem, so I’m not sure how to properly diagnose it.

Any advice on what I should test next would be greatly appreciated.

For context, I bought this monitor for about 3 days ago, then a random vertical line pops up, and eventually it will go away, then comes back again, can someone tell me what's going on? And give me advice on what I should do?

Greetings, I was using my PC last night and an hour or two into using it, a random humming/buzzing noise popped up. Its a little bit easier to hear towards the end of the video. The only thig thats been done to it in the last 6 months is that I replaced the CPU fan, so its entirely possible I screwed that up somehow and am now seeing an issue. Any thoughts/recommendations are appreciated. Apologies for the vague issue.

Right so I’ve just built a new pc (slightly). I’ve gotten a new case, fans, aio and a new gpu. It’s finally working however every single time I boot up the pc, within a few minutes it will just freeze randomly and show these small little rectangles/squares of white or black pixels.

Now you might say it’s the gpu however I was using just yesterday in my old case just to test it and I did the driver updates and everything.

Anyone got an idea on how to fix?
