I’ve struggled with severe stress, anxiety and depression for the past 7 years. I’m 32 years old now, and got my periods at 11, but never missed one.
It’s usually always 30-33 days. Only in 2019 did I have a 40 day one, and in 2020 a 46 day one. I’m now on day 39, and still no signs of any period..
I always get sore breasts before my period, but nothing... My stomach has been upset and hormonal for the past week, and my body odor changed a few days ago (always does around my period), but nothing happened and it’s easing up now too, so fearing the period won’t just be late, but won’t come at all.. It’s giving me so much anxiety, as this has never happened before, and I have had an ovarian cyst (5-7 cm, fluid filled) for 6 years now, which I’m going for my annual checkup later this month.. I also have hirsutism, and slightly elevated DHEAS and androstenone, but never diagnosed with PCOS as my other tests were normal, and my periods always were regular. The only different thing I can think of, is I have been up at night doing physical work for a month now, sleeping only in the morning and noon some. Could that be a cause? Anyone experienced this? I have a low bodyweight, but not underweight. Stress never affected my period.
Maybe why it affects me so much is due to me being on the autistic spectrum too. This change in my cycle is just throwing me off, and causing a lot of what ifs and anxiety. I have severe pain on the first day of my period, so feel like I can’t plan anything either, since I don’t know if and when it will come now, the schedule being completely messed up..
Those around me think I’m silly to worry about and says it’s normal, but it’s not normal for me to skip it or go late..
I’m not pregnant (no sex life), and never been on contraception.
